He's the same twat from Ipswich away. Worst referee we've had this season.

1 minutes added, after 3 trying to find a reason to not give us the penalty.

The reason is that they’d have had to give a second yellow and they didn’t want to.

Seriously how is that not a penalty? Ramsey skips past Hinselwood and is taken out. Can't see any reason why that wasn't referred as we see penalties given for that every single week. More of a penalty than the one Rogers got on Sunday.

With regards the game decent first 15 minutes and we've just reverted to type.

Rashford trying his best but we need him wide left to go at Hinselwood on a yellow.

Also no idea what is the tactical thinking behind playing McGinn as a support striker and Rogers on the right. Rogers touched the ball about three times and not tracking Mitoma to help out Cash.

Defence been very sloppy, feels like it could be a repeat of last season and losing 1-0 late if we don't use the bench early second half.

Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa
Mike Dean on Soccer Special:

"He's dangled his leg to play the ball and doesn't touch it whatsoever and kicks Ramsey's left leg. I think it's a penalty."

39: The more you look at it, the more it seems like a baffling decision. Hinshelwood is on a booking too, remember.

Sky Sports' David Richardson:

"No idea how Hinshelwood and Brighton have got away with that."

The one that let Morsy get away with 500 fouls after getting booked? How Ayari didn't get a yellow after ten minutes is another head scratcher.

He should be seeing that as a penalty at the least.

Well we’ve not really competed as well as we could but fuck me that’s as poor a penalty decision you’ll see in any game. FFS. Hinshelwood would had to have been sent off as well.

We lack balance with Rogers on the right. It's a mystery playing Rogers him there. Such a waste. We haven't really got going at all. However that that was 100% a pen.

Three bookable fouls, none given.

I don't think so, penalty would've been sufficient.

Lucy Ward on comms seemed to think there was a slight touch of the ball but was minimal and irrelevant when he's followed through on Ramsey.

I await the PGMOL explanation with weariness...

Would it have been a yellow really? It's a clear foul and penalty though.

TIL via a half time advert (whilst watching this game in an entirely legitimate fashion) is that Burger King is called Hungry Jacks in Australia.

Non-penalty aside that’s been the most interesting part of the game.

Not really a fan of playing Rashford through the middle, and Ramsey is not doing it this evening. Perhaps we need Watkins in.
Ayari should have at least a yellow; Hinshelwood lucky not to have a second.

We need to set the agenda rather than chase the oppo.
