Every time I'm tempted to get complacent I remember we conceded two goals in a few minutes to Celtic. Brugge are probably better than Celtic.

They don't have to score early to make me nervous, in fact they don't even have to kick off. I'm nervous already.

Won't be watching, I have access to all league games and the FA cup but would have to take out yet another subscription to get the game. I will rely on Heroes and Villains to keep me up to date.

Club Brugge are 16/1 to qualify. Those odds should settle any nerves, as the bookies are rarely wrong..... but, we've absolutely been here before and know better than any bookie in this situation.

*Hence why I've sacrificed a tenner on it just in case!

They clearly give themselves a home advantage by driving a tractor over their pitch every week, they haven't got that here.

Yep, fat lot of good it did them though. I honestly can’t see anything other than a win. I’m not overly confident just confident. They’re not PSG, or any Madrid they’re a Belgium team in a shit league. We should be trouncing them. Yes, we can fall to pieces on occasion but this isn’t one of them.

Seems to have been what did them in, really. Some of their misses were incredible to behold. A well kept pitch and they'd have won, or at least drawn.

If we can't score a goal at home, then we deserve to go out.

If we DO score, then they'll need four to win it. In any game that's sufficiently open for them to score four, then I'd expect us to score MORE than one.

If we make them commit players forward, then there will be opportunities for us at the other end and we'll be fine. The thing we absolutely must not do is gift them goals.

Fortunately, that's something we never, ever do.

Holte End for me tomorrow, last time I watched Villa in the European Cup/Champions League from The Holte End was in 1983 versus Juve with my now dearly departed Dad.  A win for the old man would be super. Juve remain to this day the greatest footballing side I’ve ever seen at Villa Park.
Other than Wolves at #levels, of course?
I was there at the Juve game Olaftab, and I agree with you. Villa were brilliant, Juve were playing football from another planet. No complaints from anyone that night either (other than McNaught's header being disallowed. Wrong decision). Like you, I was also with my dearly departed dad.

Yep just an interview with Emery from yesterday and that is very far down.
Coverage will no doubt change as the day goes on, but pretty poor

They have an aritcle "Nunez not to blame" which then goes on to very much suggest he was to blame!
