Tottenham to play out of their skins and win, having been absolutely shit for about the last month. See also: Wolves.

The problem with Spurs is they play with a ridiculous high intensity and it’s something we really struggle against.

                 Martinez
Garcia   Konsa    Mings   Maatsen
          Bogarde     Onana
McGinn        Malen         Ramsey
                 Rashford

I think it’ll be something like this. I expect Bailey to start. I feel like we’re all waiting for that one moment which kicks his season into life.

Hopefully the week break will help, but what have to, have to, do is play with intensity from the off. We are not good enough defensively, as a team, to soak up pressure. Spurs’ weakness is defensive and space in midfield - what they don’t want us to do is put that under stress, so that’s what we need to do.

I wasn't looking forward to this, I hate Sunday games at the best of times but this late KO takes the fucking biscuit and reminds me of that time we hosted Newton Heath in the Cup at 6pm on a Sunday (shudders). It was a tipping point for me, from 30 odd going down the match a combination of family responsibilities, cost and the KO meant I was alone - I gave up my ST soon after that.

Anyway, we're in a different place now and the new additions make the Cup Tie marginally more attractive. I just hope the Manager feels that way, takes it seriously and we at least put on a good showing. I can see any result here, from a gubbing to a good win but hopefully not ET and penalties as we'll all struggle to get home in time for the South Bank Show.

2-0

On a number of occasions, we have used midweek Champion League matches as an excuse for being shit in the following Premier League match. Spuds have Liverpool in a semi final tomorrow and Ange always wins a trophy in his first two years!!

Hopefully, Spuds will be knackered and we hit them hard from the start.

It will have been more than a week since we last played and we ding play again until the following weekend, so I'd expect us to go full strength for this one really.

Hoping Mings is fit, key to be able to go full strength in midfield. Hope Asensio is fit enough to play too. Onana should be fitter.

Above all else, I hope we take this seriously.

For once our opponent will have had less rest than us and hopefully a hard midweek game, so hoping we have more energy than them.

Also why they have so many injuries.

If they lose tomorrow Postecoglu may get punted before we play them. Then again, as he always wins a trophy perhaps they'll let him stay til Sunday night

If that was the logic, you'd presumably leave him in charge until they exit the Europa League even if they do get knocked out by Liverpool and Villa respectively.
