Everton v Aston Villa - Goodison Park

The match tonight has me reminiscing about that game, the Graham Taylor one. The best atmosphere I can remember I think, or at least the most memorable. I'm looking forward to this last game at Goodison Park.

I've been twice, I think.  The FA Cup QF in 2000, that was a great day out.  The other game must have been in 96 as I remember the Everton fans were giving Southgate tons of shit for his penalty miss.....that was in the days where scousers liked the national team.

I went to the FA Cup Quarter Final in 2000, which may have been my first ever away game.

I remember the Scousers showed their trademark wit by shouting "fucking Brummie twats" after the game.

In fairness, they may only have been talking to CDBearsfan.

Was John Fashanu's debut up there?

Yes, a milestone in the club's rich history for sure.

Mersons last minute winner in the rain, 2000

Absolutely pasted them 4-1 in 98.

Went there in '78 for the F A Cup tie and saw Ron's team beaten 4-1 thanks to some really poor defending. Leighton Phillips was sent off in the second half.
