As per normal, if we're looking for a major winner from our Isles this year, Rory will be the favourite, but if you're looking for someone else then Robert MacIntyre might be your man, as well as winning the Scottish Open, he also had his first win on the PGA tour last year. It would help them, if both Scheffler and Schauffele picked up unfortunate injuries, which kept them out for the season!

Tyrrell Hatton started the year in good form winning the Dubai Desert Classic, normally I would be pleased, when a Brit wins, but he's a LIV golfer, so couldn't care less.

Good start to the year for Rory winning the Pebble Beach Pro-Am by 2 shots from Shane Lowry.

I'm reading LIV Golf is to be broadcast live on ITV this year, I'm a big golf fan, but I have no interest in LIV golf and will not be watching it.

Me neither but it sounds as though Trump is brokering a solution :-) as if professional golf should be on his agenda as president

Tiger Woods says Donald Trump's involvement will help golf 'heal quickly'.

Not sure there will be much acrimony in reality…the good players who stayed on PGA tour have had more access to prize money without likes of De Chambeau & Koepka about…watching yesterday Aberg pulled $4m for winning and more guys have had chances to win.

Just a shame that it will bring the twats like Mickelson back to the main tour….LIV has been great to not have to his gurning mug pretty much ever

J J Spaun birdie putt comes within inches of winning The Players, he now goes into a 3 hole play off with Rory tomorrow starting 1pm our time.

Minor irritation with golf is the seemingly "house rules" for a playoff.  Some tournaments do 1 hole, others do 4 and some do a full round.  These jokers are doing 3 holes.  I don't get why it isn't consistent?

Helped by a triple bogey from Spaun on the 17th, Rory wins the '5th' major, big question is can he win a major this year?

Nice that Rory won it on St Patrick's Day (as he did in 2019). He might have a drink or two tonight.
