Martinez would have easily stopped the goal by being in balance in when shot incoming. Its a bit what we are at the moment with the early goal against and all. Kamara quality for us also Tielemans me thinks as they are behind most what we manage offensively.

When did Spam suddenly get organised?

Anyone can be organised if every time the opposition get the ball they stop, look around, and then pass or turn back. It takes a second or two every time, it is so easy to play against.

No idea why ITV chose this game anyway , weird choice .
But Emerys disrespect of the FA and League Cup is hugely irritating

Great idea to play the First team who obviously want the game over.

Slow, ponderous and shit. Only one who looks interested in trying to make something happen is Maatsen.

I think he's been dreadful defensively. Summerville roasted him first 20 mins. Mings not confident pinging the ball down the line to isn't helping. Maatsen doesn't look fully fit.

Ramsey for Rogers, Buendia for Bailey or Tielemans.

I’d have bought Buendia on for Barkley when he got injured. Move Tielemans back. As it is I’d sub Buendia & Ramsey on for Tielemans and Roger’s

So we have our centre halves standing on the ball to draw in their midfield who are just standing still leading to us passing the ball from side to side for 45 minutes. Trying to draw them into the press is not going to work because they have been told not to do it. We might want to try something else. Not having a shot for a whole half at home is embarrassing. Customary early goal conceded too. Pathetic.

65% possession and not a single shot tells you everything.  Pass pass pass sideways backwards
