I thought Leicester were extremely hard done by in losing to Man City, they at the very least deserved a point.

If - and it's a big if - they perform like that again, we're in trouble here.

True but we beat Man City comfortably only a week ago. Leicester can cause us problems for sure but they are awful at the back. Think Watkins will bully them.

Yup, Van Nistelrooy's preferred centre-half partnership is Vestergaard and Coady, which must be the slowest and most immobile in the league.

Get Tielemans to drop a few through balls between them and we're laughing.

3-1

Obviously we'll have a defensive brain fart and let them score.

Although Digne has been very good for us surely this is the game to rest him before the bigger CHamps league games

                   Martinez
Cash      Konsa       Mings    Maatsen

                   Kamara
McGinn          Onana         Ramsay

       Bailey
                               Watkins

Subs
Olsen
Carlos
Bogarde
Ned - replace Cash @ 70 mins to bomb down wing
Barclay - Replaces Onana
Buendia - Replaces Ramsay

That hopefully should be enough

Surely we can find three more subs amongst the nippers.

Yeah, Maatsen in for Digne seems sensible.

Feels like it's more of a "bomb it to the by-line and cut it back" sort of match rather than a "float a cross onto Vestagaard's giant head at the back post" sort of match.

I'd 100% play Tielemans

                   Emi

Cash  Konsa   Mings   Digne

         Kamara  Onana

Bailey      Tielemans     McGinn

                Watkins

I can see the logic in Maatsen though given the lack of pace

Almost By default we should see our best/strongest backline this weekend .
Feel we need Ramsey to start to backfill the missing thrust of Rogers .
Bailey has shown flashes lately so hopefully can continue to improve .

--------- Martinez----------
Cash Konsa Mings Digne
----onana- Kamara--------
Ramsey --------- McGinn
--- Bailey ---- Watkins ---

3-0

The recent run of results has dulled my enjoyment of football.

Please turn it around Villa.

Didn't see all of that game, but did notice their goalkeeper basically chucking one in for Man City. So, of course, he will be Lev Yashin reincarnated on Saturday.

Playing a shithouse team like these in horrific conditions is never good, either.

Can't see him starting with Ramsey, been out for weeks and needs to break in slowly.

Did he even touch the ball against BHA?

I haven’t watched much of them this season, although I watched their Man City game.
They have a couple of stand out individuals who played really well in that game.

Buonanotte and el Khannouss in particular.

I’d give Maatsen a start, no slight on Digne who has probably been one of our best performer this season but we’ve got a heavy schedule and Leicester at home is a decent game to give him a start ahead of the Everton/Arsenal/ Monaco triple header where they’ll surely be some rotation where we have options.

We need Ramsey to start - whether he is up to 60 minutes is another question. He does a lot of what Rogers does, not as creative, but doesn't lose the ball as much.
