Isn't it 150 years to when we played our first game, give or take a few weeks? I think that's fair enough if there's dispute over when the cricket lads under the streetlight met and gave birth to us.

In the thread below, DW states that actually our first proper game was November 1875 (not Jan'75), so we are marking our 150th months before our first actual game.

That's a mistake. I should have said March.
Here is the St Mary’s game as reported in the Birmingham Morning News dated Tuesday 16/03/1875. The first Aston Unity games were stated 12/01/1875.


Even called THE Villa in 1875.

Plenty of the black shirts and claret jackets down the Villa shop today, but only child sizes in the claret hoody. Apparently they’re not going to restock adult sizes, which doesn’t make sense to me given there’s clearly a demand for it.
