Not tenuous, accurate. Someone who turned 50 on New Year's eve, isn't now 51 just because the calendar year has changed.

No, but they are in their 51st year.

They’re in the 51st different year of them being alive. They’re not in their 51st year.

Isn't it 150 years to when we played our first game, give or take a few weeks? I think that's fair enough if there's dispute over when the cricket lads under the streetlight met and gave birth to us.

In the thread below, DW states that actually our first proper game was November 1875 (not Jan'75), so we are marking our 150th months before our first actual game.

Yes, but if you believe we were formed in 1874, then some of 2023 would have been within our 150th year and we were never going to mark the 150th then.

They'll be on DHgate for £10 soon enough

They already are. Got mine for £9, yesterday 😉

I agree, which is why you haven't seen me complain about the anniversary game being in our 151st year.

That's a mistake. I should have said March.

Did anyone go to the Aston Villa Art of Legacy event at the museum last night? Didn’t see much coverage of it but a mate of mine went.

What was that? Aston Villa and The Art Of Noise at the Leisure Centre would have been interesting. Anne Dudley's a lady but Paul Morley is still an insufferable twonk.

I'm surprised Paul Morley is still visible he's that far up his own arse.
