They have an white third kit so good chance for them to use it at least once.

A round badge not a shield. Good choice.

150 badge from the official facebook page:

So much better than the modern badge
Be even better if it was just the Lion.

Wouldn't be the first time.

I’ve always thought that picture of this supposed shirt is a mirror image due to the way it was developed. I’d be really surprised if Villa’s Scots did get the lion the wrong way round.

I’m also pretty sure McGregor et al would want us to play in Claret and Blue given the way the Club progressed.

Now we let West Ham wear Claret and Blue in an historic fixture.

Maybe but it might clash a bit with our black kit. Definitely won't be their away kit, so a good opportunity for them to wear their white third kit.

Is that confirmed?

I’ve always thought that picture of this supposed shirt is a mirror image due to the way it was developed.

I've convinced myself the photo is the right way round. The pocket watch seems to be in the left hand pocket (normal for a right hander) and the buttons on the jackets are on the correct side for blokes.

One of the players (H. Ball) seems to have his lion facing in a different direction to all the others (possibly an early Castore shirt).

At the risk of being unpopular I can see the reason why they put this one as the 150th anniversary game.  Bit of mystique about it will sell more tickets for a game where otherwise we would be looking at 25k odd.  Not supporting it just understating the cynical logic.

Don't we already have those weird "black-out" retro shirts? I still don't get what they're meant to represent.

Impressive to pick out those details.

Not keen on this shirt. It looks like something someone whipped up themselves on Spreadshirt. The badge could have gorgeous but the words around it make it look too busy, especially on a minimalist shirt.

Well, hopefully it pleases the majority and whatever the merchandise, for Aston Villa to be 150/151 years old is a wonderful thing. I'm glad I'm around for that. I read online that Villa were the first club to have a badge on the shirt, is that true? Fucking ace if so.
