I've finally run out of patience with the TV moves and will give this one a miss, it's no good saying that it's during a holiday period, not for everyone it isn't and I have an early start tomorrow so they can shove it and I'll watch at home.

I'm not reading too much into Boxing Day, the red card changed the game and who knows what might've happened if we had decent officials?

I'd like to see Mings back, and a clean sheet would be more than welcome. We're good, and we'll show it tonight.

It's a concern anyway, but even more so, while Duran is out, apart from Watkins and Rogers, the only other scorers in the league, are Onana 2 goals, Barkley 2, Konsa and Cash both 1. No goals from McGinn, Tielemans and Bailey is simply not good enough.

Yup. Even Torres had chipped in with a couple by this time last season.

I don’t think the game is on TV tonight.

I'd imagine we are playing on Monday because Brighton's previous game was on Friday, by request of Amazon TV. So, although our game isn't televised, it has still been scheduled because of TV. If that makes sense.

Mings wont start as konsa will be at right back so it will be carlos and pau at cb.

I think that's definitely the most likely, but Emery has thrown in RB curveballs before (Ned / Bogarde).

I wouldn't be completely shocked if he chucks Ned in. Different circumstances obviously, but it was him that came on for Cash on Boxing Day rather than DC.

Yep true. Both ned and bogarde have had very little game time so would be a big gamble to start one of them. Wouldnt shock me if it was a sub appearance

From memory  does anyone know how many times mings and carlos have played together  at cb together? I dont think its many has it ?

Can't think of any. Carlos was injured while Mings was playing under Gerrard / Emery. Then Mings got injured and I don't think they've played in Mings few appearances since coming back.

edit - the cup defeat to Palace this season, half an hour against Wolves in May 2023, most of the 2-1 win against Everton in August 2022.

I think I'd go with that - McGinn on right to help cover Ned. Not ideal but Mitoma a threat.

As others have said we need Ollie and at least A.N Other to start chipping in with some goals. We have had enough chances in most home games when we should have done better. Forest Saints Bournemouth Palace ManU

Absolutely, and I'm aware that it's not on Sky.

KN has looked miles off PL standard in his recent cameos. Bogarde is nowhere near good enough either.

It’s written in the stars that Joao Pedro will score tonight when in fact he should be sitting out the next 3 league games.

Score first and we’ll win comfortably.

It’s more than time for Mings to be brought back.
