Why did Martinez get booked at halftime?

He pushed Joe in the chest.

There were a few verbals going on, but Emi was the only one who got handsy.
Not the best thing to do because it cut down his leeway for his standard late game antics

I thought that Grealish was one of their better players yesterday. Certainly nowhere near bad enough to be singled out as he has been in the press (probably due to the game happening to be against Villa).
He put in a cracking cross which that bloke headed well over (before attempting to leap the crossbar for some bizarre reason).

I know that Grealish blazed one wide, but it was no worse than Cash's effort (nor the chance where Morgan hit the post when he had most of the goal to aim at on the other side of the keeper).

Kudos to the keeper for that save from Pau, that was Emi-level shot-stopping.

Popped over to Blue Moon to see what was being said, this is totally delusional;

"The problem with playing “high risk, high reward football” is that when it isn’t ultra precise we’re open to basic grunt tactics, The number of matches where the other teams just sit and wait for us to make a mistake is like watching us play lower league teams in a cup game. At the moment we are beating ourselves"

They had one tactic all afternoon and that was a long diagonal to Grealish, who then failed to deliver a telling ball all afternoon except for the cross to Gvardiol. Yesterday like last season they were out thought and out fought.
They're the opinions of an entitled oaf who probably never went anywhere near Maine road and thinks they're a big club - one of the first to disappear when they get relegated to league 2 for the 115.

Great win. A bit lucky to play them when both Rodri and Haaland were missing, but I'll take it.

Yeah, I mean, it's nothing compared to how lucky they are to even have either of them to begin with.

How many bookings  is emi on now? He must be close to 5 now?

Just two.

Cash, Rogers - 4
Onana, Durán, McGinn, Digne, Barkley, Tielemans - 3

I believe he was booked for questioning the ref about a blatant yellow (that he didn’t give) just before HT. Rather than the handbags with Grealish.

After 19 games (two more). Then the next cut-off is ten bookings before 32 games.

Kind of surprised Rogers is on 4, he shouldn’t be playing where he does.

Of many items the Beeb report on that's pretty factually irrefutable.
