Beating man city at home is so last year.

It would have been the third year of it happening (even under Gerrard) if the lino had remembered he needs to keep his flag down unto a shot is made when a team is attacking.
Onana and Kamara playing the double pivot was a game changer. We can and will keep progressing with such a strong partnership. Onwards and upwards. Othan a couple of brainfarts and dodgy officials last week we would be happily sitting in that top 4 position come Christmas.

Onana called Grealish a f****** bitch after the game.

https://x.com/avfc_stef/status/1870514637667717294

That's about it.

That is so juvenile. And also very funny.

And difficult to disagree with after his antics yesterday.  I'm so happy we didn't show him or them too much respect like we would've done in the pre-Emery years.

Best performance of the season by a long way, the scoreline flattered them, deserved to win it by at least a 3 goal margin. Most pleased with Rogers performance, absolute class, City just couldn't handle him, also brilliant Tielemans, Onana, Kamara and Duran.

Looks like Onana had a tasty exchange with Joe G at full time , hence then a few stepping in to calm things down. Joe was a classless clown today in fairness .

“You’re a fucking bitch” I think he said.

Harsh but fair.

What does that mean in UK English?

"One might be forgiven for considering you a cad, sir."

I’d say a more accurate translation would be ‘stop whining you tart’.

Popped over to Blue Moon to see what was being said, this is totally delusional;

"The problem with playing “high risk, high reward football” is that when it isn’t ultra precise we’re open to basic grunt tactics, The number of matches where the other teams just sit and wait for us to make a mistake is like watching us play lower league teams in a cup game. At the moment we are beating ourselves"

They had one tactic all afternoon and that was a long diagonal to Grealish, who then failed to deliver a telling ball all afternoon except for the cross to Gvardiol. Yesterday like last season they were out thought and out fought.

Why did Martinez get booked at halftime?

The little rat was having a pop at the ref and Emi stepped in and the ref promptly booked him. I was fuming, it took me 'till the 70th minute to calm down!

Just watching Sky and the analysis regarding the match yesterday through a City lense.
I often wonder if these so called analysts actually ever watch the game?

That’s what it looked like on my dodgy stream before it cut away, so was wondering if something more had happened…

Cheers! Can definitely agree with that!

Players normally cover their mouths when talking so they don't impart such vital information to us mere mortals looking on. I'm no lip reader but was it possibly "diving bitch"

My only gripe about yesterday  was the amount ifof chances missed.it seems to be  a theme this season. Im still waiting for the day we absolutely batter someone and dont miss those chances

We should have been 3 up at half time we were that good

I watched it all in the ground. Grealish didn’t like the fact ref blew for half time when he claimed City were attacking. I think he probably said Eminhad been time wasting so that should be added on. Emi pushed him away from ref. Haaland then pushed Emi, for some reason Emi is the one then booked.

The Onana/Grealish one is stranger. Grealish was walking to City supporters after Pep told him to and wasn’t shaking hands or anywhere near Onana but Onana was shouting at him. So not sure what started it off. Haaland intervened to protect Grealish again and confront Onana. That seemed to be the only thing he was doing all game.

The strange thing first half was Cash was presumably deliberately playing narrow which meant City kept giving the ball to Grealish. If just once he had gone outside Cash and crossed with his left foot they might well have been in but he cut inside every time. Maybe we knew he would do that?
