Watkins would be fortunate to keep his England slot. He is really quite average this season or, perhaps, certainly not at his best.
I'd say he's fortunate to keep his Villa place

Bit harsh. Hes always putting himself about and you have create the chances to miss them. Just needs to be a bit sharper in front of goal.
It’s really not that simple.
He’s a striker playing at the very highest level. There is no room to say ‘he just needs…..’.

He has to be fucking ruthless.

Equally we don’t have the goal we have without him.

Kicking the ball away, I think.

Emi really pisses me off with his show boating.

When we scored we should have gone in for the kill. Ten times better than them and with all the injuries their confidence was shattered.

But no, Emi reduces it again to snails pace and lets them off the hook. You don't have to do it every time Emi. Brilliant goalkeeper but so flustrating.

Martinez shouldn't have even come for the ball for their goal, But if you watch Carlos he just jogs back without even thinking of engaging either the ball or the player.

If I'm defending that I'm thinking the keeper has made a made a bad judgement call i need to deal with this.

Ollie. Great link up play, excellent workrate. Shite finishing apart from when he was offside.

Rogers missing the pass…

Emi… we’re all allowed a mistake. But that was a communication cock up born out of complacency.

We should be 3 or 4 up by now. Not 1-1. I have faith. But honestly, why are we making the use defensive cock ups that are costing us points?

Delighted to see McGinns arse has returned.

Mings plays and that goal is much less likely. He's vocal and an organiser.

Anyway, we've played well and with some smarter finishing could be 3 up.
Looks like Konsa was at fault as well

He's dropping deep to cover the right back area. Ezri moves in so we cover with 3 across the box and Rogers supports in front of Cash.

We've broken forward well.
Ollie put the offside chance in the back of the net, but when he was clear ---- straight at the keeper - he really should've scored.

The sooner Mings is back, full time, to organise this shambles of a back line, the better.

Just seen a couple more replays of their goal - Konsa is involved in that as well as he was initially marking the goalscorer.  Poor communication between the three of them, who all just ended up standing still and watching him score.

We've been a horrible combination of unlucky and wasteful in front of goal. Duran special incoming..

That was nothing to do with the defence- they’ve been good. Emi fucked up.

I really like Morgan but can’t help thinking he’s believing his own press a little. Needs to just calm down a little and make some simple passes.  At the moment there are too many rush of blood moments and trying just that little bit too hard. Which ends up in the play breaking down.
