Certainly pisses me off as at 9.30am, the only seats available were closer to God than the pitch. Should have waited by the sound of it.

Well they’ve managed to virtually sell out the top tier to all their so called priority groups before putting these on. Members who’ve been to one cup game will have their pick of some of the best seats in the house on Friday - members who went to all 3 only ever had a choice of the top tier!

We did get pretty much what we wanted last Friday but I can imagine lots have settled and now look!

Ooh, how exciting! How many are left? I broke the news to the kids today that we wouldn’t be going - or may be going just to hang around in the vicinity and watch it in a pub. (We’re three members with one cup game).

Honestly it looks like loads and I can’t imagine there’s many eligible in this window who didn’t jump in today. It had (subject to availabilty) next to it so anyone eligible today wouldn’t have hung about really.

Edit - just had a bit more of a check and I reckon there’s about 1000 still on overall with by far the best availability in 119, which is the last block if ‘side’ seats before the  ‘behind the goal’ seats. I started counting and I reckon there’s about 600 free in that block. There is generally better availability in the lower tier than the upper right now!

I’m glad for you if you can grab these, but it’s a bit mad isn’t it?

Thanks amfy. It certainly is. My two little ones (and me!) will be made up if I can snatch these at the death on Friday morning.

I took whatever I could as quickly as I could as I do not trust villas website! Had some decent seats at 9 but it kicked me off and into the queue.

This is the response I just received from the club, not sure why the FA would just release tickets for blocks that are already allocated to us

“Hi. We can confirm that we have received an additional allocation from the F.A.

Unfortunately, once tickets have been purchased, we are unable to relocate tickets to a different location within the stadium.”

Also I wonder if this is why I haven’t actually seen our allocation confirmed, Forest said they have 34k, this should mean we have more if the FA are releasing more

Clubs always receive extra tickets for the semi final - the ground holds 20,000 more than the two clubs’ allocations combined and there’s not the same demand from so called neutrals (club Wembley members, sponsors etc).
Palace also received more yesterday and I remember this happened for the Chelsea and Liverpool semis. We’ll get even more through next week too I expect.

It does seem strange those tickets weren't given initially. Can't imagine they'd be sticking neutrals in the middle of the Villa section if we hadn't met the demand.

That seems utterly bizarre by the FA.

I know in the olden days, all clubs would have an allocation of tickets and most would send them back - that might still happen and clubs had until maybe yesterday to accept or return their tickets to the FA?

You think the FA held those tickets back ?
Really ?

For once I'm hoping the club are bullshitting! If there's around 1k tickets left at this stage it makes a final ticket more likely, especially if we get an allocation like last year (30500).

Villa, Palace & Forest have all received extra tickets in the last few days (Forest 807) and probably Man City too.
Semis don’t always sell out so I expect clubs are also told not to release tickets for the blocks where the two sets of fans meet until other blocks are pretty much sold out- then if one club is struggling to sell them the other club can take their block and it not affect the segregation. Common sense really.
