That's strange, there was no lower tier at all available yesterday morning when they went on sale as that was the preference for me and my lad to hopefully be able to see

They kept disappearing and reappearing - mostly singles.

Literally none in the  lower tier prior to 9.30 this morning - the whole lower tier was greyed out.

That was the case from when ST holders with a cup game got theirs on Friday, through to 9.30 this morning when it officially went on sale to ST holders with no cup games.

What exactly might they gain by 'pretending' to give a wider choice of seats to members with a cup history? Because in effect that appears to have happened.

In the end - everyone who really wanted one got one in those 1st 3 groups (as there are still a few now) but it does appear that in the end, only ST holders (with or without a cup history) got a chance of one not in the gods.

Not a problem for me as such, just a bit baffling.

I wonder if the ticket system has been letting multiple people select the same seats?
With it then being down to who has the fastest fingers to complete the transaction.

Other systems tend to put tickets on hold in your basket for a few minutes, then release them again if you don't complete the purchase fast enough.

There seems to be two stages on the Villa site...

The seat appears to be available, but when you click and add it to your account it can say "no longer available" it's only when you go through to the next stage it is actually held in your basket.

So it is faster finger first, once the seats are live.

Would be a lot easier if seats were reserved for say 20 minutes once added to your basket. I had 3 seats in my basket at 9, went to checkout and got kicked back into the queue.

Going to be some upset Villa fans if / when that happens for potential final tickets.

Also not sure why our allocated car park and Palace's allocated car park are at the "wrong" ends of the stadium!?!

So, in order to provide the best service, Chiltern are not going to provide a service ?  ???

I saw that you got one, it's just that there are still a few even now, so you definitely would have got one regardless.
It actually sounds like you are really near us tbh!
When I got our extra one today there were none in the lower tier although I got straight in at 9. It seems like they released a few more in the lower tier when today's tickets went on sale 'properly' at 9.30.

What the fuck is this shit?

https://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/26aprilwembley

All I can think is that it's an attempt to throttle the demand. For anyone who wants to get a train the whole way you can change at Leamington Spa via cross country, though that is a massive pain. I feel sorry for any non matchgoing fans who will have their trips ruined by this, even from Solihull into town!!

About 90 tickets left.  No realistic chance for members with 1-2 FA cup games.

Have you looked at flights via Dublin?
