This will be totally different to the Juve game as Chelsea have some strikers and will attack us . Might suit our counter game but we need to pick a defence that can defend resiliently so thats Konsa/Mings reunited in the middle . Somebody needs to man mark Palmer , is NRC available .

Palace ran through a midfield of Barkley and Tielemans last week. Neither have the discipline of Kamara nor Onana.

They won't run through Kamara. Tielemans was fortunate he wasn't hooked at half time the other night. Two fouls after his yellow card.

If Onana is fully fit then sure maybe stick him in but think Barkley has been ok recently.

Will Onana or Ramsey be fit for this?

Onana possibly, but I’d be surprised.

Just had a look at the weekends fixtures and the teams around us all have very winnable (and in most case very easy) games.

We could easily be in the bottom half after this game. Behind even Brentford, who we play on Wednesday.

Yeah, I don't think he'll be risked.

And if that happens, so what?  I'm not trying to pick an argument.  I think we need to relax a bit - there is loads of time left in the season and we will go on a run soon that will keep us competitive for the European places.  Who knows which competition though!

Nah, Emery gone if we get below 10th. We don't do that any more.

(This isn't entirely serious)

Finally, we'll have achieved what I am starting to think a number of us masochistically want.

If there's no planet on which you can envisage us beating a side like Chelsea, then being below Brentford is a natural continuation of your state of mind.

It's not enough to (not actually) be shit (at all), but to contrive and contort to make things...oh just the worst with that projection. Its like Beyond Good and Evil for football, but they've been staring enough at midtable, that midtable has gazed back into them. And don't we just benefit from it, right chaps?!

Always worth looking at the positives, your doing well keep going.
We’ve had a dodgy few weeks, but we are three points, that is three points behind these world beaters ffs.
3-1 us, Watkins, Bailey, Tielemans

On the positive I think we are much better defensively with McGinn playing just behind Watkins because he works so hard, Bailey is coming into form now i reckon ( the turning point was hitting the post against Palace), Carlos played well on Wednesday so I can see Konsa coming into form at right back, Watkins is due a goal and contributing a lot.

Chelsea look decent but they are not infallible. I have a bit more confidence after Wednesday as I hope we have turned the corner. Don't concede first and we have a chance.
