I look forward to seeing who they move onto instead of Duran now they've got £60m to spend on a striker. I suspect it'll be a last ditch £10m for Danny Welbeck and message of how "they tried but January is hard".

I think they should buy Chris Wood. £60m should be enough to tempt Forest.

World class striker, Chris Wood? Can't see it happening.

🚨 EXCL: West Ham make offer to sign Jhon Duran from Aston Villa. #WHUFC bid worth £57m including adds. Expected to be rejected - #AVFC have no intention of selling 21yo striker; recently extended to 2030 amid strong interest from elsewhere
@TheAthleticFC

I've offered to take Zendaya on a date. I'll keep you posted.

God knows what the 'add-on' in that deal would be.

Karen probably

WHU have had awful luck with strikers in recent seasons.

💣 Wolves have made a £10m offer for Diego Carlos as his on-off move to Fenerbahce stalled again tonight.

Interesting. If they’re offering the same wages as Fenerbahce, then he’ll either be settled in the area, or will fancy a move to Istanbul and European football.

I reckon West Ham will increase their bid to £65 million

If Carlos stays then there will be no new centre half arriving at VP

Why, on gods holy earth, would Jhon Duran go to West Ham.  I mean.  Why? It’s like us ‘bidding’ for Haaland.  Fuck off with your outrageous sense of unearned entitlement.

Honestly, Villa should tell it like it is.  Club A, a CL club, is sitting in a handy position in the league for re qualification and at the very least more European football.  Club B are languishing in lower mid table.l with zero chance of that and have just appointed a manager who already looks dodgy.  Meanwhile Clubs C-F, genuinely massive clubs, are looking at Duran with hungry eyes.  In what universe does Duran select club B?

Truly deluded.  They’ve made themselves look even more stupid than before ok the basis of… the whole irons thing?

Regardless of league positions and European football, it’s a very simple argument the the kit stealers will use.

If, and its the massivest IF ever, if the kit stealers made a bid that was acceptable, their position to Duran would be:
London based club
Will make him their number 1 striker with guaranteed starts every game
Oh, and double your salary

That’s all that matters, he’s a kid with an agent, remember.

He has years and years ahead of him to worry about stuff like European football and challenging for trophies.

Yes London is a huge incentive.

And gauranteed to start every game.

Oh come on, seriously why would someone that has Barcelona sniffing around (amongst others) who plays Champions League for Villa, seriously leave for a relegation battle at that place?

Other than money, which he'll get more of elsewhere, what's the point?

His agent can't be that stupid either.

Exactly.  He sees himself playing for Barcelona or Real Madrid, not West fucking Ham Utd, which was appealing 6 months ago because he wasn't getting as much game time and was on a smaller contract.  If anything, West Ham are being used (probably by his agent) as a stalking horse for a big club in Europe (probably PSG).  It's a classic move that makes the West Ham board look like they are 'doing something' and flushes out just how interested other clubs are.

Villa should tell them all to simply fuck off, publicly, until at least the summer, unless the player is making a nuisance of himself behind the scenes to the extent that he is a distraction.

Read elsewhere that Wolves have no interest in signing Diego - looks as though he will be with us until the Summer.

He’s going to Fenerbahce isn’t he?

Istanbul or Wolverhampton, eh? The world's best city Vs Istanbul. Tough one.
