Don't they want all of him then?

The hottest striker on current form in the toughest league in the world - would not consider anything unless there was a £100m figure to begin with.

I think Isak would argue with you there.

Not sure why people keep suggesting Kamara at centre-half, it seems like an absolutely terrible idea to me. We don't know if he can play there, we do know he's brilliant in midfield. It would likely make us worse in two positions.
I seem to remember he played there quite a bit in Europe for Marseille.

Yep, he'd played as a centre back nearly as often as he'd played in midfield when he signed for us. I've always had him down as an emergency option to cover there if we're desperate but it would have to be something more than we just decided to sell Carlos without a replacement in this window, that would be an awful decision.

No way he agreed a new contract with buy out clause of >£100m.  I'd guess it's more like £60m

Kvara leaving halfway through a possible scudetto-winning session to go to P S Fucking G would be more depressing than words can express.

Forza Atalanta. Napoli had their second act.

Believe me I'd be happy for the earl grey tea people. It's the idea of a Napoli star at Qatar FC that's pretty depressing. In January too, come on.

Just following the well-trodden Fabian Ruiz / Lavezzi / Cavani path.

Milan Skriniar has been offered to Napoli as part of Kvaratskhelia deal from Paris Saint-Germain.

NO green light from Napoli at this stage as Skriniar’s salary is considered too expensive.

Those were different. This is more like Higuaín going to Juve.

Aston Villa have now started direct negotiations with Caen to sign Tidiam Gomis.

Why the fuck would we even think of selling him? I hope this is just paper talk.

I don't know why people think there's any remote possibility of us selling Carlos without having a replacement arranged.

Pretty sure that the club will certainly not want to sell Duran.  But.  If a big(ger than Dortmund) CL club were to bat their eyelids, and can meet the release clause, what can Villa do apart from sell him and find a replacement as best they can, if Duran wants to leave?

I'd be surprised if the main point of that contract being signed recently wasn't to include a bigger release clause and therefore: a) protect the club from silly bids,  b) get market value for Duran if we have to sell.  It would also have been aimed at making Duran feel more loved and therefore hopefully stop any wandering eye stuff.

I don't know, he's such an exciting prospect isn't he?!  It'd be amazing if he stayed here for a few years at least and developed into a world class centre forward while we were winning things.  But... I just can't see it myself.

As he’s just signed what is presumably a bumper contract I’d be amazed if there wasn’t.
