Napoli had scouts watching Jhon Durán yesterday.
@mattinodinapoli

Serious question…and purely for discussion.
Would we sell for say, £85m ?
We may not have a choice if there's a release clause triggered . I suspect there is one the way his agent seems to work .

Given the saga over the summer and the start to the season Duran had which led to us wanting to get him signed up, he'd have been doing a pretty bad job for his client had he not negotiated one in there I reckon.

Unless the thinking is a swap with Osimhen and some sort of cash adjustment I don't see Napoli dropping the £80-£100 million it would take for us to go for that one.

Nah, I wouldn't take the Irishmen over Duran.

I'd have taken the Osimhen of a few years ago over most strikers on earth, but now there's no way I'd go for him over Duran.

9 goals and 3 assists in 11 this season. Not bad at all. 25 years old and has experience  at the highest level. I would definitely  take him.

Back to the earlier point about minimum  release clause that is a good point i never though about.  If we put in 85m clause  and someone wants to pay it. Nothing we can do but man that would be a great deal if that was the deal for example

Doubt they'd be interested in a South American footballing talent who's prone to the odd temperamental outburst.
Conte wouldn't give a flying fuck about that.

Think you missed his reference.
You're right, thanks for the helping hand, God.

Jonathan David at Lille can agree a deal with a new club for the summer from 1st Jan. Any chance we could step in for another freebie and sell one of Ollie or Jhon in the summer for a nice fat profit ? David is 25 in 2 weeks, 82 goals in 161 games for Lille.

We've supposedly had our eye on him for a long time. Unfortunately, being well thought of and being on a Bosman means there will be plenty of interest.

Another bargain bucket option. Borja Sainz at Norwich, 23, basque, top scorer in the championship so far, 15 goals so far.

Never seen him or even heard of him tbh but we could send Buendia the other way.

Whenever I've seen him which admittedly is not much, I've not been that impressed.

Was expecting him to be a real threat against us when we played Lille last season in the Conference League.  Might have been an off couple of games for him, but I thought he did little over the two legs.

I wouldn’t swap Durán for any other striker in the world
he’s the most exciting player with sky’s the limit potential since Grealish

If we are serious about contending and winning stuff we need to be doing everything we can to keep him which in fairness we have been up to now with the new contract etc
