When it comes to Martinez, I'd assume it could all hinge on how we finish the season. If we go out of CL at the first knockout stage, and don't finish in CL spots for next season, he may well be tempted by offers, if they come, from a team like Chelsea. They're competing for the league now, and will at the very least be in the CL next season. Who knows how stable they are, and there's no guarantee they won't go to shit again, but I could see how they'd be appealing to a keeper of all positions.
Unless it has a guaranteed fee in the summer involved, fuck that.
Have we got room in the squad to strengthen without letting people go?
Quote from: Percy McCarthy on December 26, 2024, 10:10:50 AMHave we got room in the squad to strengthen without letting people go?Room people or financial headroom under the current rule?Either way I think we have one spare place for a player valued about £40m (no sums involved) and after that I think a one in, one out policy is needed. That applies to loans too.
The problem with that is when other clubs know you need to sell.
It won’t happen but I think Cunha would be a really good player for us.
