Arsenal need a central striker – and Rashford doesn't like playing there. Chelsea appear to have spent enough. Tottenham are inconsistent but they are hardly likely to drop skipper Son Heung-min, who plays on the left. For once I'm glad they don't consider us a "top club". Although I would have thought Rashford would be ideal to replace the soon-to-be 33yo Son.Son is a consumate professional whereas Rashford is anything but. Although with 'Big Ange' trying to bomb out Werner and Richarlison there might be a spot there. They have the funds to make a deal happen but really dont think Levy would take a punt on him. Rashford needs to decide if he wants to be a top level footballer again. If he doesnt then he can either continue to sit on his contract or there will be Saudi and US offers to keep the dollars rolling in. If he does then he's going to have to come to some kind of settlement with Man United to rip up his contract and take a hugely reduced deal in a different PL club. The PL clubs who could afford him (Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea) wouldnt want him and with PSR constraints the likes of a Newcastle couldnt make the deal happen. The ship has sailed on a decent European club coming in for him after his performances and behaviour in recent seasons. Maybe Man City might be open to a swap deal with Grealish. I think he’ll go to PSG

Hüseyin Yücel (Beşiktaş vice president): “Semih Kılıçsoy received an offer from Aston Villa. Monchi’s initial offer was €12m, then it went up to €15m. They also asked ‘Do you want Diego Carlos or Alex Moreno?’ I couldn’t get it accepted — the president said €15m is too little..”
I think Rudy Can't Fail's Kılıçsoy alarm has just gone off...QuoteHüseyin Yücel (Beşiktaş vice president): “Semih Kılıçsoy received an offer from Aston Villa. I think he’ll go to PSGYup. They can afford it and have a very obvious gap in the squad for a forward who likes to cut in from the left. One of very few teams who can afford him, very marketable, and as Greenwood is showing at Marseille he will probably score 30+ over there. Hard to see him going anywhere else to be honest.
Apparently, AC Milan are willing to offer Samuel Chukwueze and/or Noah Okafor to Aston Villa in exchange for Jaden Philogene.https://x.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1870224910070476935https://x.com/NonEvoluto/status/1869457810632626446
I don’t contribute much to this thread but if we have any money to spend this transfer window it’s on a right back imv. I think Matty Cash is a good player but I think we can do better. In addition it means Cash becomes a back up and Nedljkovic can be sent on loan to continue his education.I’d also be bringing Barranachea back from his loan to cover Onana and Kamara because as we saw yesterday asking Tielemans and McGinn to do that lessens us as a team elsewhere. With Barkley, Bailey, Ramsey and Buendia we are pretty well covered in forward areas allowing Unai the ability to tweak formations and tactics and manage minutes for the rest of the season. Though with Buendia if we can do some business to move him on and upgrade that may be useful.
