Rashford used to be a cracking player and a rare thing in being a Man Utd player who most people kind of liked.  He does look finished now, but then again he should still have another 5 or 6 years in him playing wise.  Maybe on a loan with an option to buy he would be worth that risk.

Can he play right back?

Even only paying half his wages would make him the best paid player at the club.

If he turned around tomorrow and said "I want to play for Emery and get my career back, fuck the money" I'd carry him here on my back, but that's never going to happen.

Listening to SSN talking about Rashford, they're desperate to drum up a big move for him.

He stinks of Everton, frankly. The only reason he won't go there is they're skint.

Chelsea all over it

100% send sancho back and get rashford  i would imagine

We tried to get another right back in the summer in the form of Lutsharel Geertruida (who I believe would have been excellent), but PSR did for us, and we couldn't complete the deal, hence why he ended up at RB Leipzig.

He didn't need to go to them though, the shit. Right Back Leipzig? Come on, unnecessary.

I suspect that was more because we were willing to let Carlos leave so this was our replacement.

I imagine not - all three parties are already committed to the Sancho transfer happening next summer.

The BBC have listed all the English "Top Clubs" Rashford could go to, and why they wouldn't sign him.

Quote
Of England's top clubs, Manchester City and Liverpool seem a bit of a stretch, even with City in such poor form. Arsenal need a central striker – and Rashford doesn't like playing there. Chelsea appear to have spent enough. Tottenham are inconsistent but they are hardly likely to drop skipper Son Heung-min, who plays on the left.

For once I'm glad they don't consider us a "top club". Although I would have thought Rashford would be ideal to replace the soon-to-be 33yo Son.

You can have F365's completely phoned-in version of the same space-filling article if you like?

Quote
It’s all gone a little bit stale at Aston Villa, hasn’t it? Their Premier League form has dipped rather dramatically, dropping home points to Bournemouth and Crystal Palace (who knocked Unai Emery’s side out of the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 victory at Villa Park too) while they were well beaten by Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea, all in the same run. After going six domestic matches without a win, Villa beat Brentford and Southampton at home but threw it away at Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Unai, my friend, can we tempt you to sign a player who is known to oversleep for team meetings, phone in sick after venturing to a nightclub and go out partying after demoralising defeats? He works really hard on the pitch, we promise!

In Villa’s previous two games, Emery’s wide players were John McGinn and Matty Cash and no natural winger came off the bench with Jaden Philogene an unused substitute and Leon Bailey injured. McGinn is terrific but better in the middle and Cash is not the best right-back, let alone right-winger.

Rashford might be the forward Aston Villa need to rejuvenate their attack, and he provides some lovely depth exactly where Emery needs it.

A couple of years ago, the idea of joining Villa would have been laughed off for Rashford but now it can be regarded a step up from Man United. They are in the Champions League and on course to finish in the top eight, thus automatically progressing to the last 16. Now that’s appealing, isn’t it Marcus?

Son is a consumate professional whereas Rashford is anything but. Although with 'Big Ange' trying to bomb out Werner and Richarlison there might be a spot there. They have the funds to make a deal happen but really dont think Levy would take a punt on him.

Rashford needs to decide if he wants to be a top level footballer again. If he doesnt then he can either continue to sit on his contract or there will be Saudi and US offers to keep the dollars rolling in. If he does then he's going to have to come to some kind of settlement with Man United to rip up his contract and take a hugely reduced deal in a different PL club. The PL clubs who could afford him (Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea) wouldnt want him and with PSR constraints the likes of a Newcastle couldnt make the deal happen. The ship has sailed on a decent European club coming in for him after his performances and behaviour in recent seasons. Maybe Man City might be open to a swap deal with Grealish.

He has a terrible attitude, he literally has not tried a leg at times at Man United. I dont know whether that top season he had under Ten Hag completely went to his head. But the days of a wide forward not bothering to track back and sulk around the pitch are long over (unless you are Ronaldo or Messi level which obviously he isnt). PL scoring record over his career isnt bad (1 in every 3 games on average) but assists drop to 1 in 7 which maybe gets to part of the problem. The fear for Rashford or any player that bases their game around pace is that if that drops at all then you are left with a very average player.

Rash should join West Ham United. They need a striker after antonio's injury and have history of taking manutds crap. (lingard, Morrisson, evra)

They are pretty stacked in the wide forward areas with Bowen, Kuddus and Summerville so don't think it's a runner. Unlikely Man United will go for Ings in a swap deal! West Ham have had a series of striker flops looking at it
