Maybe he'd be better as a manager. Take-over from Wazza, couldn't do much worse.

Man Mbeumo is fucking awesome. That goal vs arsenal just now is of the highest quality. We should try break the bank for him

Aston Villa have joined the race to sign PSG forward Randal Kolo Muani.
@lequipe

Would imagine walking in and seeing Martinez sat there would bring him out in a cold sweat :-)

It would suggest we are still having PSR problems.

What's the going rate for a young player killing it at League One level but without any pedigree higher up? Can't be more than £5-6m I'd have thought.

Then it doesn’t make sense.
The summer transfer window was a shit show.

If we  can't even afford to loan him out to a championship club  this month and hope that he smashes it with the plan tiget more money in  the summer then our finances really are in the shits

Unless of course someone has made a really good offer for hun now

Barry plays in a position where we've already got Ramsey, Rogers & McGinn. He's not going to get in ahead of them. Selling him makes sense if it allows us to bring someone else in for a position where we are short.

Or, we think that he might not step up to Championship level so a failed half-season loan there might actually diminish his value and this is actually selling him at his highest value point.

I understand the logic behind selling him now, even if it's going to be 5 or 6m, but as someone else said above, it does make you think how thought-out the transfer policy was to have spent 35 on Maatsen and nothing on a ready-to-go RB and wind up this tightly up against the PSR rules.
