Everton fora do not seem particularly optimistic. Seem to think that any result as long as they manage to score a goal would be acceptable.

They're right to be, they have bad players and a terrible manager.

Yep, that's the obvious team they'll pick and the obvious thing to do is to target the full backs.

I'd swap McGinn and Rogers and ask John to sit in a little and outnumber them in midfield. I'd then bring Maatsen in for Digne and Kosta in for Bogarde and tell them both to push on and support our wingers in overloading them out wide. 2 from 3 of the midfield can then hold their depth to cover for the counter-attack.

What we want to do is force Harrison and McNeil to be really defensive because without them getting into our 3rd they lose most of their threat going forward.

Get a couple then make a bunch of changes after 60-70mins to rest key players for our CL debut.

Their only real hope is for DCL to try to get at Torres. We sometimes struggle with teams keeping ten men behind the ball, so they need to do this and hope they can get the odd long ball from Pickford up front, bypassing our superior midfield. We've got much more quality than them all over the park, but we need to avoid getting dragged into a war of attrition, and we need Watkins to sort his shit out.

They are poor but they got themselves 2 up vs Bournemouth only to somehow F**k it up in the last 3 mins . We need to focus on our game, not be over-confident and not get sucked into a rugby match or game of head tennis.

They are going to sit deep and try frustrate us. Thats their tactic.

If we play well we win as it doesnt matter what they do even on their best day our best day beats them

Hopwfully not too many bumps from internationals

That Everton team is a tired throwback..., ageing defenders, workmanlike midfield and a pair of false forwards. They'll stink out the new stadium.

No Ndiaye? Is he injured because most people seem to think Gueye, Irobugname and Ndiaye was running the match, the he took Ndiaye off for Doucoure and they went to pot.

Said it before but that Everton team looks a bit 2015/16 Villa to me with its mix of old pros who are past it, and young kids who aren't ready.  The only difference is that they have Dyche (who apparently knows how to escape these things) instead of Sherwood.

Losing games 2-3 was a nasty habit of ours back then too if I recall correctly.

Need to beat them anyway.

Bloody hell that's an atrocious team. The worst they have ever brought to VP I reckon. Certainly in my life time.
