The Brugge tickets are to be collected with a passport in the city on the day of the game. The only spares that show up will be from people that for some reason have chosen to go the whole way to Belgium, collect the ticket, and then not go to the game

With the strength of some of the beers over there I wouldn’t rule out that happening!

Received an email from Villa this morning - They're offering travel packages WITH match ticket for the Bruges match.

So, there are tickets magically still available, but you have to pay almost 500 quid for a whistlestop same day trip! Fans that were going would have surely already booked travel, etc by now. Fuck me, the non football side of this club is an utter shambles.

I'm in the 2 away category - Shit like this has stopped it dropping to our criteria. Travel should be an optional extra, not forced upon people who are desperate for a match ticket.

I think you have to have the relevant criteria or is that not the case anymore? I looked at this for my son but the trip can only be booked if you meet the criteria rules. Ie an STH with relevant Euro away record.

From what's being shared, no, it's no longer the case and anyone can buy them. To be honest, the £500 cost represents reasonable value if you value your time similarly to your money. The main issue with this trip is that the return flight goes into East Midlands and requires a further coach back to BHX

Ha ha, yes I saw that, what could be better being dumped at East Midlands Airport at 2 or 3 in the morning with no public transport and having to pay a supplement to get you back to BHX. Fuck that.

Looking at a trip to Belgium the same week as I we have some free time and I want some good beer. I don't suppose anyone may be able to keep me in mind if they end up with an spares?

Do you still have to collect them from a designated site? Do you need to provide ID?

We are on the Eurostar to Brussels which includes onward travel to any other Belgian destination. Does this mean you have to stay in the station and get the train to Bruges or can you go out and have a few hours in Brussels before venturing on to Bruges?

You can do what you want, the onward tickets aren't limited to any particular service that I can see.

If European Conditions of Carriage are similar to UK then break of journey is allowed.

Yeah, I know that bit, it was just f you are allowed out of the station first then back in again rather than it being a direct link to Bruges.

That all being said, London Underground drivers are set to strike 1st to 15th November so that may alter plans as we were planning on parking at Hillingdon

Once you're off the Eurostar you can get any onward train and it's an open station. Saying that, there really isn't much to see in Brussels during the day and the station is in a pretty unappealing part of the city. You're better off heading straight to Bruges.
