Be interesting to see how many of the core squad of 23 get called up. Might only be 8:

Emi, Olsen, Digne, Konsa, Youri, SJM, Rogers, Watkins.

Be surprised if Kamara isn't in. Deschamps likes him and he was in pretty regularly pre-injury.

They're fucking mental if he isn't tbh.
Always got the opposite feeling, Deschamps doesn’t really rate him, he prefers Zaïre-Emery, and Bouba’s move to Villa wasn’t very well received.

The other day Watkins revealed he was one of the 55 .
that’s 55 players that Tuchel has spoken with.
on friday squad announcement is made.
regards england i suspect Watkins and Konsa and possibly Ramsey
Mings more likely than Rashford but would say two or three are going to be drafted in initial roster .

Rogers must have a chance as well.

Yes Would think so.
I did actually mean Rogers not Ramsey!
as well.  I got confused. Yes definitely Rogers. Ramsey not so much though he is good enough.

Well 55 means some are not being taken but Tuchel wanted to let certain ones know personally. So hopefully they are all stopping home.

Tuchel was at the recent Palace vs Villa match. We were shyte.

Could be a blessing in disguise.

Good point. Although Rogers and (arguably) Watkins did their jobs well enough. Probably bad news for Konsa though.

Rather be called up initially and then have to leave squad because of injury precautions or illness than be called up as second chancellors.

There is inevitably some drop outs and with us being a main player fighting on fronts would imagine be pulled out.

can be argued these qualifiers are of less significance and given one of the opposing national teams won’t put up much fight expect drop outs after the Albanians.

If Rogers was not called up to seniors and just under 21 duty i’m sure Emery will arrange that he’s not to be called as it’s poor selection

but also if Grealish was called up ahead of Rogers ,which I seriously doubt , then that too would be poor selection.

Rogers would be fine under Tuchel.

Disasi should be in the France squad on his last performance !

France have more strength at centre-back than pretty much any other country in the world. None of Kounde, Saliba, Konate and Upamecano are going to be moving on any time soon, and there are another half dozen in the queue before Disasi gets another look in.
