Fulham are 3 points behind us, of course they are in it. It's so tight that 2 consecutive good/bad results could see a lot of positional changes.

If a club below us overtakes us we aren't going anywhere anyway so Fulham aren't on our radar for the moment.

In 2 games time we could be above MC and Chelsea and still be 6th with Newcastle and Fulham above us. Dismissing anyone in the top 9 is folly.

If in two game time Fulham is above us, then we must have drawn both which wouldn't put us above Chelsea and also mean we have blown it as we drew to Southampton.

Edit, I suppose a loss to Southampton and a win against Newcastle, but again a loss to Southampton....

I have no idea how it will play out (obviously - like all of us).Nor where we'll finish or if it will be good enough for Europe next season. But I'm 60 years of age. Was lucky enough to have started going regularly home and away in 81 and then went to Rotterdam in 82 - and all the downs and ups since both at home and away and abroad.
But this manager and his team are amazing and I can't wait for Wednesday

Am I right in thinking we get 5 ECL, 2 Europa and 2 conference league spots? Newcastle have one of the latter seen up already and it is likely that a team in the top 6 or 7 will get the FA cup spot. So 9th could well be enough for Europe.

I think it will only be top 8, 5 European Cup, 1 Europa league for the 6th, and 1 for the FA Cup with 1 Conference League for Newcastle as League Cup winners.

So if Newcastle finish higher than 8th, their Conference league place goes to 8th place, likewise with whoever wins the FA Cup

Apparently there's a scenario where up to 11 English teams could be playing in European competition next season. It would need an English team to win all 3 competitions this season, and a bunch of other specific Cup/league finishes. But there's potential for any number between the normal 6 and the highly unlikely 11.
