I’ve just seen that error by the Ipswich goalkeeper from a back pass. Surely that’s a professional foul and a red card?

Palace down to 9 men. Nketiah and Guess sent off.

Would be great if they miss the semi.

Both 1 match bans and even if additional for totting up, wouldn't reach 5 games unfortunately.

Given they play Citeh and Newcastle next, I think they should both be rescinded.

It's interesting that a ref giving 3 yellow cards to players who have made iffy challenges whilst on a booking is such a big story. All 3 were absolute banker yellow cards.

No. I thought he Wolves were fortunate to even get the free-kick myself because I thought the handling rule was more for picking up the ball to stop defenders wasting time by just passing back to the keeper to wait and pick up. Not to penalise stopping a certain goal by being pushed off the line. And the award is always an indirect freekick. As the rule is specifically for keepers, why would they be given a red card as most of the time they would be using their hands to stop the ball going into the net anyway.

I thought it was a little soft, but can see why it was given.

Looking at the form table on MOTD (since Moyes was appointed) it was Liverpool, Palace, Arsenal and us in the top 4. Interestingly, it didn't include any of our rivals for the remaining CL spots.

Yeah in fairness it's not a pen . But he got sucked into a silly tussle in the box via poor positional sense . He's too overrated at this stage purely because of who he plays for.

It’s an interesting one, the rule states what you say as correct but it is really is a professional foul. It’s not like he’s used his hands by mistake. The keepers cocked up, the balls going in, he’s not allowed to use his hands which he knows but he does anyway.

But you can't have a professional foul being awarded with an indirect freekick. The keeper within the box always has the option to use his hands with the ball, but with one particular rule it will be penalised with an indirect free-kick.

When the ball usually ricochets back to the keeper and he catches is -even if it was a defender who technically got the last touch - it isn't usually punished as deliberate pass back. So don't think this one should be either.

It's hard to argue the keeper/ defence were trying to work some unfair advantage in this scenario.

Liverpool, Brentford, Saints and ManU have the chance to be heroes, even if it's just for one day.

Would rather Fulham won as it reduces the chance of Liverpool and Arsenal resting players against our rivals later in the season.

By the time Liverpool play anyone going for Europe it will be May and they'll have the title done by then. Arsenal only play Palace and then Chelsea penultimate match. I'd rather teams be out the running asap, plus the top 2 have nothing else to play for so no need to rest players.
