Bellingham. Invisible for 92 minutes then pops up with that.
I don’t know whether to laugh or not

I know we are supposed to hate bellingham but the consensus that he had a poor match last night is a very blinkered view. He's an absolutely world class played and had a decent performance last night. fair is fair.

Why are we supposed to hate him? Because he briefly played for Small Heath two transfers ago?

I suspect that is the reason certain posters on here do. However he also didn't have a great match last night, but neither did Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinny Jr either. Because they could and should have put 5-6 passed Emerson. In the end you had a shinned effort, a good effort from a save and then a header into an open goal.

Hardly a blinkered view. If you didn't know the number on his back was 5 you wouldn't have noticed him at all really. He kept the team's shape well and I suppose you could say  that the follow up of the poor effort by Vinicius was something a world class player would do. 5 minutes prior to that he missed a chance where he should have probably done better than putting his shot straight at the keeper. He's a great player though.

Without the running of Rodri, other players have to do it more. And they are getting too old to be doing that. I mentioned De Bruyne was blowing around 65-70 mins into the match after one attack. Walker (before he left), Stones and Gündoğan are similarly static these days. Gvardiol and Lewis are probably their most mobile players at the moment.

Yep, especially in centre mid they just haven't got the legs to play the way they want to for 90mins without Rodri. Maybe this Nico kid they've signed will add something but it's a band-aid at best and they really need to overhaul the squad. A transfer ban for a couple of seasons right now would absolutely fuck them.

From only really watching Bellingham play for England I'm not sure his main focus is doing a job for his team over his own ambition. The main proponent of this way of playing being Cristiano Ronaldo.

They also don't score the equaliser without the work he does in the build up.

Bellingham is rubbish and that’s the top and bottom of it

I'm still not sure what Bellingham's best position is for Real or England.

He's still on that could be a 4, 8 or 10, where he got his retired number 22 from, wherever he plays he always seems to drift to the left, and it can get crowded there when he does it.

If (big if), he signed for us I would think he'd be in Ramsey's spot on the left or Rogers as a 10, it would probably suit him more than having to play behind a front 3 for Real, perhaps that's next season's ambitious loan signing !!

Personally I think he's better at an 8. He doesn't score as many as he does further forward but he looks much more involved, at 10 he does drift out of games a lot (this is based on how he plays for England mostly). The problem for England is that's also the role Rice is best at and I don't think they work as a pair.

Even if certain posters insisted on calling him Belly?
