Newcastle's run of form got me thinking earlier.  If you have the potential to finish in a Champions League spot, are you better missing out on European football altogether if you don't make it and going again the next season with a much less congested fixture list?
No. If you look at domestic cup winners over the last 30 years they are mostly clubs who play regularly in the Champions League.

Champions League regularly getting to last 16 means a c.50 million player per season FSP/OST tax free.

Yes. I read last week that Newcastle, despite actually posting a profit this year, will still have to sell to buy in January. One season in the CL does very little financially for a club. The problem is that you need to spend to keep qualifying and you can't spend if you don't qualify.

I’m going to disagree on that. If we get to the quarter finals this season I reckon that will have a c£100m positive effect on our turnover which gives us much more breathing room on money for contracts and transfers, not stupid big 6 levels of money but significantly eases pressure on our PSR and SCR positions.

Didn't you see Matty Cash running on the field and assaulting him?

Bentacur said it was either Endo or Son, he couldn’t tell the difference.

I just seen the vid online. He does not look good at all. His face looks droopy like he had a stroke.

I suppose it was Matty Cash's fault.
