Spurs fans booing and abusing Fat Ange last night.
Quote from: lovejoy on December 06, 2024, 09:46:11 AMHow do they get away with using derogatory religious terminology in their main song and not get arrested, safety in numbers perhaps? It needs calling out.Think I remember a Jewish group asking them to stop, but obviously won’t. However, they’re not using it in the same way a racist would, are they? They’re essentially reclaiming it. It’s the same as when people ask why black people are allowed to use the n-word.

But I don't think I saw anyone seriously calling for Unai's head, or getting personal with the insults about him. Plenty were calling for him to sort it out (obviously), or try something different (understandable) - but this level of entitlement is just baffling. It's bloody SPURS for god's sake.
It's not really that strange. Since 2010 they've only finished out of the top 6th twice and under Poch they were a serial top 4 and Champions League team. I guess when you've got used to doing pretty well, and then add in a superb new stadium, and spend lots of money on players every year, then your expectations are going to be high. Even now, they're perfectly capable of handing out a good shoeing to the big teams (eg this season to us, Man U and Man City), but it's the fact that they're just as capable of losing to the likes of Ipswich and Bournemouth that's going to do for Ange Mate.
