Spurs fans booing and abusing Fat Ange last night.

Is that not what the previous 20 posts were all discussing?!

How do they get away with using derogatory religious terminology in their main song and not get arrested, safety in numbers perhaps? It needs calling out.

Think I remember a Jewish group asking them to stop, but obviously won’t. However, they’re not using it in the same way a racist would, are they? They’re essentially reclaiming it. It’s the same as when people ask why black people are allowed to use the n-word.

As only a very small percentage of supporters are actually Jewish, who are they reclaiming it for?

I'm guessing because anybody that went to WHL up until the mid-00s would have heard fans making racist comments about Jews, gas noises and so on, so it's misguided in its attempts to stand up against that.

They were calling him a fat c ***

Disgusting

Exactly, if their own fans are calling the fat ****** a fat ******, it doesn't leave the rest of us with much to describe the fat ****** with.

They are a special entitled breed

It's funny, given they were within a whisker of pipping us to 4th last season, and this season they're only 2 points behind us, yet the difference in attitude between the two sets of fans to what has been a less-than-thrilling set of games and results is stark.

Lots of people have been unhappy on here with the run of results up to Brentford.  But I don't think I saw anyone seriously calling for Unai's head, or getting personal with the insults about him. Plenty were calling for him to sort it out (obviously), or try something different (understandable) - but this level of entitlement is just baffling.  It's bloody SPURS for god's sake.

Craig Dawson is Everton's joint second top scorer this season. He plays for Wolves :)

Staggering really.  They must be completely drunk on the (erroneous) idea that has been shoved down everyone's throats for years about 'the big six'.  They are and always have been a mediocre club that gets way more than their fair share of plaudits because of their location.

It's almost as though he goes looking for trouble, though.  Right on the final whistle, he shakes the other manager's hand and then goes out and stands in the middle of the pitch looking towards the away end.  What does the think is going to happen?  Just go back down the tunnel, get on the coach and go home.

It's not really that strange. Since 2010 they've only finished out of the top 6th twice and under Poch they were a serial top 4 and Champions League team. I guess when you've got used to doing pretty well, and then add in a superb new stadium, and spend lots of money on players every year, then your expectations are going to be high. Even now, they're perfectly capable of handing out a good shoeing to the big teams (eg this season to us, Man U and Man City), but it's the fact that they're just as capable of losing to the likes of Ipswich and Bournemouth that's going to do for Ange Mate.

The Jewish portion of their fanbase that have been on the receiving end of the term from other fans? The hissing sounds some horrible bastards still do?

And still won as much as us in that period.

It’s not perfect as a comparison and I’d prefer they didn’t use it, but it works in the same context. They aren’t arrested because they’re not using it as a derogatory term. There’s no racial/religious hatred.
