Who on earth is angel gomes?

How do you have (a) big opinions about Lee Carsley's managerial capabilities and (b) no idea who either Angel Gomes or Noni Madueke are, two of the most important players in Lee Carsley's teams for the last two years?

It's almost as if you have no idea about any of these things.

The two central holding mids who have impressed with their short passing are Gomes and Wharton.
Rice is a a wondetful PL player ,powerful,aggressive and seems a lovely bloke,but his foray forwards leave gaps at the back and he lacks the accuracy of passing of the above.
Get rid of Kane and TAA,one is slow,the latter is somewhat lazy and always wants to hit the long defence splitting pass which is difficult against the elite sides.
Guehi,I thought was our best player ,rarely beaten and passed the ball quickly and well.Ideal partner fot Konsa/Mings.
Gordon ? Wouldn't get in front of Ramsey or Rogers.Or even Barnes ,Eze ,Grealish and Rashford.

Jack has been very good, it's also the kind of game he often thrives in.

Up against championship players it has to be said. He's a very dangerous player when he gets turned on the ball. Carries it really well and excellent weight of pass. Excellent finish for a change. Off the left side he's reliant really on the full back going outside him so he can cut in. Himself and Rice stood out a mile, ironically enough.

For the record, 11 out of 16 players are Premier League, only 4 are Championship players, 5 if you count Celtic.

Mentioned he should have had a chance in the Euros. Definitely would have allowed a different option then the Pickford hoof when setting up the next period of possession.

Pickford was,often,passing it short today.A plus for Carsley.
Bowen was far more impressive with his movement than Kane ,is this a temporary glitch or a permanent decline ?

Maybe it should be a thread but for me based on living memory,Legend is reserved for the 80 81 82 team +
God, Sir Brian, Chris Nicholl , Charlie Aitken.
There are a few good shouts but  players that are deemed as Legends is and should be a very exclusive club.

I'd never heard of Angel Gomes either, despite us playing his team last year. I think it's completely fine to think that Lee Carsley isn't the man to manage England. 90% of England games are piss easy, so almost anybody with their coaching badges should be able to get England through the qualifying games.  What you need is that bit of quality when the chips are down in the latter stages of competitions, and the ability to find solutions when things aren't going well. To do that I think a high quality manager who has a proven track record in a top league is the sort of bloke you want.

Not gonna clog up this thread every week, but a great start to the season for Kingshurst Colts. 14-1 v Bartley Reds. Lewis Pennell didn’t have much to do at centre-half but did okay.

Young is a premier league legend.
And to me a Villa one.
Young came back. I think he's been great at Villa. But people can have differences.
Some say Agbonlahor is a Villa legend some don't.
