Newcastle totally deserved that today.

Massive respect to all the fans that have endured failure for so long.

This will give the PIF FC a massive lift for the run in. Bad result for us I fear.

Strange take. Not many teams have a good league after winning the League Cup apart from the Etihad cheats.

Agreed, they are more likely to fall away after winning their only cup in 60 odd years.

I'm pretty sure that's banned.

I don’t think this was the match to leave out Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz, Van Dijk, Konate, Mac Allister and Robertson.

Come on be fair. Slott did play those players but his game plan seemed to be lets put my smallest midfielder on their biggest player during corners, that will show you I can do football tactics OTHER then hit the ball long to Salah and something might happen.

Great player. Absolute cheating bastard who got away with murder because he played for England (until he couldn't be arsed any more). Seems to be an utter twat in real life. Even Geordies that know him don't tend to like him.

I don’t know anything about this other than his reputation for being really boring. (e.g.) Celebrating winning the league with Blackburn by creosoting his fence.

Well played Geordies.  Thoroughly deserved it.

What would be very funny is if Liverpool-s season folded in on itself

As we won the 2 main cups too..

Spot on.

Yes, but it'll cost you an arm and a leg.

In the final analysis, I'm someone who spent his student days in the North-East and consequently have a soft spot for the place and the people. I know who owns the club and I know they've built a mythology on fuck all, but I can't bring myself to begrudge a set of fans whose last trophy was before there was a footprint on the Moon.

So the genius that is Arne Slot has now presided over an FA cup defeat to mighty Plymouth, a doing over two legs by PSG and a no-show in the League cup final a few days later. The League is almost a formality because of how poor the usual suspects have been this year. Next year may be a slightly bigger ask.

Yeah. The only two Newcastle fans I know in real life are both smashing guys, who would have been thrilled for us if we'd won it.

Especially if the out-of-contract players walk. I've mentioned multiple times that if Salah is kept quiet / can't be arsed, you have a massive chance of beating them. Also, they were missing "Twent" because he decided to dive in on a PSG player on the sidelines and slid right into the hoardings fucking his leg back up.
