The RB pipeline is clogged-up with Ned and Bogarde (albeit that's not his natural position). KKH's chance never really arrived but safe to say it's gone now.

He's League One's top scorer, with 9.  I said after his early season form that if he was on double figures by Xmas it wouldn't surprise me to see him recalled and sent to a Championship club challenging for play-off places.  Well, it's almost certain he'll be on double figures, I guess it now comes down to whether anyone wants him to help them kick-on in the second half of the season.  He might have an "Archer at boro" style impact with someone, you never know.

The good news is that he's clearly recovered 100% from his bad hamstring injury last season and is showing what he's capable of, albeit at a lower level than he'll probably end up.

With how things are going I wouldn't be against him coming back and being given a chance to fight for a place with us from January. One of the problems we have (there aren't many) is that we're not making the most of our chances and in particular we aren't getting enough goals from the wide players. He might be worth a look to see if he can have a Duran style impact off the bench in the role where JJ is playing well but isn't scoring.

I would say that's probably a bit ambitious.  He's stepped up from League Two to League One and thrived, but it's a big step up to the top of the Premier League.  I think the second half of the season at a decent Championship club would be a much lower-risk option for us.  He'll either have a Rogers/Archer style impact, and have people banging down the door to get him, or he'll maybe find it's his natural level.

If we get a few injuries, who knows, but right now I don't think he'd even get on our bench?

True but my thinking is that, whilst he's on a high confidence wise it's a good time to get him training with higher quality players and coaches and see how he adapts. If he comes back at the start of the window we can take 3-4weeks to see where he is and then potentially look at a championship loan if the step up is too big.

Seems unlikely that Barry would be parachuted in as a sub for us when we're flying high on all fronts. I see him purely as an asset we will earn a good return on either next summer or the year after with him playing at Ch'ship level in that time.

I know Duran just signed a new deal but with him there's always the possibility he's off as soon as someone offers the right amount. With that in mind I'd be looking to see if Barry can step up again to Championship, and then have a proper look at him over the summer. I wouldn't expect him to be a like for like replacement, but if he's a possibility we should be looking at it.

Finley Munroe nicely pinged in his first senior goal for Real Union at the weekend.
