Apparently we’re playing a behind closed doors friendly against Sheffield Wednesday in the coming week.

Would that be to give Mings and Kamara another run out do you think?

Would be nice if it was McGinn & Ramsey too

Did Onana withdraw from Belgian squad?

The Mail are reporting it now too. It's today apparently and it's why the team last night was as young as we're playing some of the older kids. Presumably the likes of Mings, Kamara and Buendia as well.

Hardly game of the season, but I'm off to Bolton tonight to see the under 21s in the EFL Trophy. Curious to see if anyone else will be making the trip ?

Hi SPK

Hope you enjoyed last night - i was there with VCTM jnr  - like the Fleetwood game it was just good to get out and watch a game - the youngsters did well against physically stronger players

I was impressed by the number of locals I met who were Villa fans - a special mention to "Trinity" the three year old from Accrington - she kept on asking her mom where Ollie Watkins was :)
Also to the young lad at the front constantly trying to get songs going    - Great to meet a few of the players` families too - One family had driven up from Bristol - it was nice to see their lad lay on our goal and score a penalty in front of his mom and dad - a nice family moment for them   I doubt we will be off to Barrow - its an earlier kick off and a bit of a hike :( UTV

Hi Cross the Mersey. We were just behind that blonde haired lad, he was a card ! I also spoke to the couple from Bristol, remind me who was their son ? It was a good night. I'm hoping we get into the knock out rounds and get Wrexham away, I've seen the show now I want to visit the film set !

Let's hope they don't have 4 kids, they'd have to name one of them 'Doug Ellis'.

Much respect to the Villa fans who made the trip to Bolton last night for the AVFC U21 match. Apparently there were 140 away fans amongst the crowd of 1,757 (reported on the BWFC website). That’s a good turnout for a midweek U21 match 100 miles away. I am sure the AVFC U21 players appreciated the support.

We certainly made ourselves heard and the lads celebrated the penalty shoot out right in front of us - great night out and much better than staying at home
The Bolton Stadium staff were very courteous and respectful
Many of the "140" were "locals" from various parts of Lancashire

If it was the lad who crossed for the goal I think his name was Burrowes.

I travelled from Lichfield, but my Brother and his 3 lads live in Leyland and are all ST holders.
