Cameron Archer is back, too. Not sure if it's officially official yet.

He will be on 1st July.

Have you got any news on him or how he feels his season went ?

Back on the 8th.

Looking at the squad i'm not sure where else we're buying unless selling first to make room. If you assume Chambers, Dendonker, Hause, Coutinho, Archer and one of the left backs (probably Digne) will be off and that Lenglet and Zaniolo won't be back, it still leaves a squad of;

Martinez, Olsen, Gauci.
Cash, Nedeljkovic
Carlos, Konsa, Torres, Mings
Moreno, Maatsen
Barracuda, Kamara, Tielemans, McGinn, Ramsey, Barkley
Illing Jr, Buendia, Bailey, Rogers, Diaby
Watkins, Duran, Dobbin
so 25

I suppose we could sell all or any of Olsen, Cash, Carlos, Duran and maybe Dobbin on loan and any of those would need to be replaced. I suppose i'd class as urgent, Olsen for a new number 2 and one of the forwards moved / loaned for someone else that can put the ball in the net. Maybe in an ideal world Carlos moved for a new player there too.

I think Moreno is far more likely to leave than Digne, if based on form....if based on something else, who knows.

That is starting to show some much needed strength in places

It is, although it's assuming the previously / currently injured players come back soon / well and that all the new boys fit in and perform. That said we haven't got much choice really as we can't just keep buying and stockpiling, as i say some added security for any issues with Martinez and Watkins would be a must i think but otherwise we could probably just go for it. With a lot better luck with injuries we should be in for another good season.

I think currently, my team with everyone fit;
Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Torres, Maatsen, Kamara, Tielemans, McGinn, Rogers, Bailey, Watkins.
Maybe drop Bailey for Barracuda (if he looks good) if we need to go more defensive.

But as you say, good depth, particularly the likes of Ramsey, Mings (assuming he gets himself right) and Diaby all very good alternatives, or rotation, plus others not far behind.

Aren’t Nedeljkovic and Illing Jr. both under 21 and so may not count towards the 25.

Probably although i wasn't really thinking in those terms, just really naming 25 players who you'd hope would get plenty of involvement. You could add 2 more to make it 27 or so on but without injuries (touch wood we won't get any), you might start to have difficulty getting them all involved.

This is a good way of looking at it, but where are the 4 academy players coming from?

I think:
One of Gauci/Olsen out and Sinisalo in
Archer will need to be around too

That only puts us on 3 with Ramsey I think so we need to promote a youth player or include KKH.

From that named squad Dobbin, Iling-Junior, Duran and Nedeljkovic are all eligible for the uefa 'b' list and don't need to be named at all for the league so, if that's our 25, we'd only be naming 21 for both the league and europe.

With Ramsey counting as club-trained that means we can add one more player without having to worry about any changes for either squad and Sinisalo in for Olsen (if we can shift him) seems like a simple solution to add another spot as well meaning we could add 2 players easily enough.

After that Archer and KKH are options but there's no need to name them just to fill out numbers, if we have no intention of using them then naming a 23 man 'a' list for Europe is fine.
