I do think it was agreed upon that Malen couldn’t play in the champions league if he signed for Villa .
As Dortmund could face Villa so it’s a possibility they sold him with conditions and the proviso that he can’t be selected.

Absolutely categorically wrong. Wronger than a wrong'un wearing nothing but a wrong-way-round T-shirt bearing the slogan "WRONG" on the wrong side.

Well. I hadn’t heard it was incorrect . I mean it could be right?
Certainly a theory that can’t just be dismissed as the facts speak for themselves that Malen isn’t in the Champions League Squad.

Why did Emery have to explain to him why he was left out when he signed to play? Surely he would have known the deal. Or do you think we only rushed out to get Rashford and Asensio so we could follow Dortmunds wishes without anyone else knowing?

Footy you’re climbing up the wrong tree. Try this one. In order to get Rashford and Asensio we agreed to include them in our CL squad. Their Agents knew about the 3 rule and also realised that we have or were going to sign players in addition to Malen.

Nope. It couldn't. And isn't.

That kind of fantasy garbage is the sort of stuff that attracts criticism of that particular poster. Completely made up in his own head with no shred of truth and posted as if he has some inside information. Time for another holiday away from reality I think. Maybe stay away a bit longer this time.

Yeah, sorry Footy but pretty sure there were even quotes from Malen talking about how the lure of the CL played a part in his move.

Gonna be Dortmund then.

Im ok with whoever  we get now tbh. We have done better than expected.  Even if  we get eliminated next round we did well just to qualify in top 8.

By the time we play in the CL again we will have our defence back and will be firing on all cylinders.  We have the capacity to blow most teams away I reckon, so no fear and no OTT underdog attitudes allowed.

Hopefully with the defence you are right.  Nothing wrong with being under dogs though

The rules are 5%, so just over 4,000 on that basis.

So tonight's matches weren't as clear cut. You have to assume Bayern will do it at home, especially bringing a lead back but the others could still go either way.

It's usually just under 4k in Europe.

Think Dortmund would be the toughest out of them, Atalanta and Bruges. I'm discounting Sporting now. Second leg at home will be crucial whoever it is against.

I think Atalanta would be worst. Combination of very difficult tie but also don't get any credit if you do win as they're not yet recognised as a big European club. I reckon they'd be streetwise and annoying as fuck if they were defending a lead, too.

Agree here with CD, Dortmund are a good team but I think Atalanta would be a tougher test. We’d beat both Sporting and Bruges.
