According to the these people, we have already earned almost 19m EURO in prize money;

https://www.football-coefficient.eu/team/958-aston-villa/

We earned 10.4m EURO for our Conference League campaign last season.

We have also already earned points for the co-efficient, meaning we now have a co-efficient above the Premier League one we've been assigned previously.

Ultimately, decency is possible but depends on intentional design and active participation in maintaining it.

Not sure that's correct. From that link, Villa have:

20/21 - Nil
21/22 - Nil
22/23 - Nil
23/24 - 17.000
24/25 - 6.000 (for qualifying for league stage of Champions League)
TOTAL - 23.000

That puts us 73rd in the rankings, just behind Leicester on 23.000, behind Spurs on 41.000 and way behind West Ham on 69.000

The base ranking for England is 17.146 that no English team can fall below.

I've never understood these.  Will this increase with each win the league stage and increase again if we get out the league stage?

Yes, you build points as you win games and progress through the stages and they're added togetheras the current season and the previous 4 to give an overall score. The points awards and current scores haven't been updated for this years Champions League yet but with the new format it's clearly gonig to see some changes. The obvious change is that you used to get 4 points for reaching the group and it's increased to 6 now to reflect the change in qualifying rounds.

Although now pots don't matter too much, the only thing a higher co-efficient works for is the 5th place spot combined with the rest of the PL representatives. You could even argue it is now a detriment to be higher up as there are a lot more teams you could be drawn against where lower down and it is almost known.

Edit: I think it is used as a tiebreaker in the table if several other criteria doesn't split it first but that would be very slim.

Was that the 1-1 where Merse scored? It was freezing cold, it might even have snowed. Anyway, the stadium has been completely rebuilt since then. It even has a roof now.

Just read the Heck thing about celebrating the european triumph against Bayern Munich... unbelievably tin pot.

Imagine if we went to Newcastle and they were using the game to celebrate beating us in the 1924 FA Cup final? We'd be proper taking the piss.

Awful idea.
