When we played Juventus in 1983 a ticket in the North Stand was £4:50, so I'd imagine the Holte was about £3:00. I had a paper round at the time and could easily afford my own ticket. Before football went daft...
i think ours was free with our season ticket , lower trinity , if i could check with my Grandad i would , he'd know .
I had a ST.  I’m pretty sure you had to pay.

The draw is so complex that it has to be done by computer. Not sure how they'll televise that.

And in 81/82 all home cup games we included with your season ticket.

I think I read somewhere that they’ll draw a team out from pot 1 and the computer will then randomly decide all eight of its fixtures. And then the next team. By the time they get to us in pot 4 we’ll probably know most of our fixtures.

My Dad says they're the best team he's ever seen. Basically the 1982 World Cup winning side, plus Platini and Boniek.

I'd agree with that, scored straight from the kick off without a Villa player touching the ball. Played a style of football I'd never seen. They were tremendous. Fair play to Villa, we had a right go that night..

Spartak from memory played very well at Villa Park, after getting a daft penalty in the first leg, in the last minute, in Cold War era Moscow. Mark Walters goal in Moscow is one of the great Villa goals of all time.

Where can you watch the draw live?
Usually on Uefa TV on their website.
TNT at 16.45 on 29 August

Imagine if we drew Juve at home first?

41 years on since our last Big Cup game and an early return to VP for Dougie.

Quarabag of Azerbaijan lost their 1st leg qualifier 3-0 last night.
Hopefully Young Boys can get the better of Galatasary tonight.
The less chance of long distance games the better.

Real Madrid away is the only correct answer for me.

Failing that, I wouldn't mind Barcelona at home.

What a time to be a Villa fan.  8)

I got

Home: PSG, Juve, Celtic, Girona.

Away: Leipzig, Atletico, Crvena, Bologna.

So two Italy and two Spain. I'm guessing two teams from the same country is allowed being as a fair whack of them are English, Spanish, German and Italian.

I’ve reloaded that page multiple times, and each one turned up a draw that I would be pretty excited about… which brings home (again)to me how far we’ve come in the last 5 years.

My most recent had us home to Bayern on the first game week.
