"Aston Villa had very kind luck with injuries this 2023/24 season" - I've obviously been living in a parallel universe in 2023/4 then!

I stopped reading at this point.

The one calling the Villa fan who commented a 'Brumbletonian fool', made me smile.

The Mag is always putting us in their headlines, it’s borderline stalking.

They didn’t so much last year when everyone was wanking off about them being a big club and they were in the top four. Now they’re not doing as well as us, we’re back in their spotlight.

I never, ever click on the articles, just let them get on with it.

Pretty much sorted in terms of qualified teams now. Only difference will be if Dortmund win this season's comp then Frankfurt will qualify as extra German team. If Real Madrid win then Shakhtar are automatically in League Phase. Not sure how the lower pots rejig following that.

Assume there is a home and away game from each pot.
How about trips to Real Madrid, Benfica, Monaco, and Celtic ?
Under the lights at Villa Park ? Barcelona, Juventus, Feyenoord and Bologna.

How anticlimactic would Leipzig, Shaktar, Young Boys and Sturm Gratz all at home be 😂

Although I’d fancy our chances of at least 10 points!!

Aye, save the big boys for the knockout stages.

Same question if we got Maccabi away. Weren't they playing in Hungary in the Conference home games?

They played their "home" European matches in Poland in 22/23 and in Hamburg last season.

Obviously unfortunate circumstances but an away game played in a neutral venue could be good from a ticketing perspective.

2023/24 CL away ticket rules, I assume it will remain pretty much the same for next season

38.01
Home clubs must make at least 5% of the total approved UEFA capacity of their stadium available exclusively to visiting supporters, in a segregated, safe area. The price of tickets for supporters in the 5% allocation must not exceed the price paid for adult tickets in a comparable sector of the stadium that are sold to supporters of the home team (including tickets sold to season ticket holders, to persons who are members of the club, and/or sold as part of any promotion/promotional package for tickets exclusively for UEFA competition matches). Furthermore, in no case shall the price of those tickets for visiting supporters exceed €70. In addition, visiting clubs are entitled to purchase 200 top-category tickets for their VIP supporters, sponsors, etc., but they are not obliged to take the full allocation (see Articles 17 and 25 of the UEFA Stadium Infrastructure Regulations and Article 19 of the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations).

38.02
Visiting clubs must, where relevant, sell their tickets by zone in order to facilitate the reallocation of unsold tickets. Visiting clubs which have requested an allocation of tickets for the whole or part of the segregated area may return any unused tickets to the home club without payment up to seven days prior to the match. After this deadline the visiting club must pay for the whole allocation, irrespective of whether all the tickets have been sold.

38.03
The home club may reallocate tickets returned or not requested by the visiting club provided that all safety and security measures (as mentioned in the UEFA Safety and Security Regulations) are respected and that such tickets are not reallocated to supporters of the visiting club.

38.04
The official UEFA representatives and at least 20 representatives of the visiting club and its association must be provided with complimentary top-category seats (and associated hospitality) in the VIP sector.

38.05
All visiting team ticket allocations and ticketing arrangements, except those related to the ticket price cap for visiting supporter tickets, may be altered by written agreement between the two clubs concerned. Any reduction in the standard ticket allocations should, however, only be agreed to if there is a specific lack of demand from the visiting team supporters for the match in question.

Cheers Dave. Would be a much handier away fixture amd hopefully mean our team would be less tired.
