We are guaranteed a Pot 1 team at home, the least attractive we could get is Leipzig or C115y or LiVARpool.

I think we could only have drawn English teams in the unlikely event that England had six or seven entrants.

I haven't paid £75 to see Brest since Goldfingers in Prague 2008.

Don't believe we can draw other English teams.

It's only possible if more than 4 teams have qualified from one nation. I think that's what I read. Even then it's only used to avoid a 'deadlock'. Did Spurs get 5th? 😈

Weird take after you've watched us master it and have our best season in 30 years. Don't be shit at what you're doing is a good rule to live by.

It all starts on Tuesday.
Anybody wanting an early taster The New Saints v Decic of Montenegro. A short drive up to Oswestry and tickets are available.

Incidentally the Villa are 50/1 to win it. They are 14th favourites. On that basis we would be qualifying for a two legged play off game with the first leg away to make it to the knock out phase.

I do think we will get out the league stage.

36 team league.
Positions 1-8 go straight to last 16 knockout.
Positions 9-24 go into two leg play off to join knockout.
Positions 25-36 go out of Europe altogether.

We can finish as low as 24th and still have a 50/50 chance of making the last 16.

Yeah, I'd be very disappointed if we weren't in the playoffs. Depends on the draw after that, but making it that far would be a successful first season in CL for me.

This new format definitely favours the "smaller" teams more than the old one did.

Luck of the draw will not just be who you play but when. Some of the big hitters from Pot 1 will probably already be easily qualified by the time you get to games 7 and 8. If they then field a weakened team against a side needing 3 points to get over the line there will be complaints from sides just behind them in the league.
