Our summer transfer policy will depend a lot on our injured players who have been out long term.

Do they have any complication with the injury and recovery?
How is their confidence and frame of mind (must be difficult watching other people do your job well)?
How long will it take to get to full match fitness?
Will they regain their pre-injury form?

Even though injured, I suspect Unai has them all involved behind the scenes as much as possible to keep that sense of inclusion and squad spirit.

I also suspect, he will be getting daily medical updates (physical and mental) on Mings, Buendia, Kamara and Ramsey.

Our medical team also have a massive role to play in the coming months. We can only hope that all players make a full recovery and are firing on all cylinders at some point in the future but unfortunately, we can not take this for granted.

I noticed, as others picked up on the other day, that Buendia seemed to limp down the tunnel on Thursday when he went down it with the squad.

The ever reliable Football Insider linking Dendonker with Everton.  Let's hope so!

That would probably be a really good move that would suit him.

I would like Semedo from Wolves for RB and i have always rated Bryan Mbeumbo

Neither as starters but great bench  / squad players to have - especially with CL to come we will need a deeper squad  ;)

Semedo is in his 30s now though so probably not worth it. Mbuemo is decent but I'm not sure we need another player who's best suited to playing right wing, I guess it depends if we think Diaby will take a step up next season (I do).

If we sign someone up front it will be to replace Zaniolo but even then with Ramsey and Buendia to come back we look pretty well stocked there, especially if Emery thinks Kellyman deserves gametime.

I think DM and fullback is where we'll see the focus.

Re Villa being high-up the list for clubs paying agents - I imagine that will be distorted by the high-level players out-of-contract we sign (Kamara in 2022, Tielemans in 2023) as their fees will be much higher than players still under contract with the selling club, along with high signing-on fee for both players.

If the links to Hermoso are to be believed, we are scouring this market again - no transfer fee meaning no PSR worry.

We're not really high up though, we were 6th on the back of finishing 7th and wanting to push on (which has happened) seems fine to me.

Another i would like is ferguson of broghton but he will be very expensive. He looks to be the next big thing

Ferguson, 19 years old , 6 goals in 36 games (1720 minutes) this season
Duran, 20 years old, 6 goals in 29 games (884 minutes) this season

Given they'll ask for an amount of money that would break our transfer record it would seem like an odd use of our resoures.

Fergusons been injured alot this year tbf. If you look at last seasons stats he was actually very goid and being likened to kane. Has so much potential

I think Ferguson looks like he has everything to be a top player, but he’s just having a bit of a drop back season. However, as Dave says, for the money they’d be looking for and given where we most need strengthening I wouldn’t be entertaining him as an option.

As a leftfield option up front that big unit Mateta at Palace has always impressed me when I've watched him.

He strikes as a player who does a few things well and a number of things terribly.

I think although asking price will be high if he were to come it would be s uch a expciting signing and at 19 he will only gwt better under unai.

I do wonder if the cheaper plan is to bring tammy back as he back from ACL now as we runoured to have agreed the deal before ACL went.
