It’s a no from me. Our style has developed well beyond the give it to one player we had with him. Plus in between matches all our squad (less Duran) fly beneath the radar. Unai wants harmony at the club not hubris.

Emery's said before now that he thinks player's priorities should be football. I can't imagine him spending big money on a player known to like to party like Jack does.

Joe is a brilliant player, but I also think that he's the kind of player we'd have shifted on this summer to help with FFP ... can get a high price for him, but doesn't suit the way we want to play under Emery.

If Emery wanted it, and the finances worked, I'd have no problem with Grealish coming back. I think it's far more likely he'll go abroad though, if he goes anywhere.

I can see him doing a Barkley, with Prem sides thinking he's too expensive, and that he hasn't really performed in a while, and so having to go abroad for a year or so to rehabilitate himself, then coming back to play for a non-top 6 side to 'prove' he's still got it.  I just hope it doesn't end with us giving him a three year contract when he's the wrong side of 30.

The thing is City would need to get £40m for him just to break even on his FFP value, which is ridiculous really.

If his lifestyle was better, you'd put money on him having a longer career than most attacking players given his game has never really relied on pace - but he doesn't appear to be someone who looks after himself off the pitch (like a ronaldo), so he could easily be a busted flush in another year or two.  I hope he's not on our wage bill when that happens.

I don't think he will move this summer, he's still too expensive. If he gets his head down and works this season, he'll be worth about £32m on the books next summer and suddenly will look more realistic for other teams.

No to Grealish for me. Great player that he can be i think he's on the way down now and he could only be arsed when he felt like it when he was on the way up. It would also become all about him again and it's the last thing we want with the momentum we now have. As pointed out the finances would surely be a big issue anyway.

Another No

Ship has sailed when it comes to him. If we scrambling around with a less good squad with Brentford , Fulham and Wolves it would be worth a punt but we have moved on.

He has won bucket-loads mainly as a peripheral player.

If the deals go through as expected, July will be very interesting. Still to come possibly...

Outs:
Cash
Carlos
Olsen (please)
Dendonker
Chambers
Moreno

Ins:
Right back
Centre half
Dougie replacement
Attacking mid
Backup keeper
Do you not envisage Duran leaving?
In terms of incoming players:
- No DFM?
- Why another attacking midfielder when we have several (Rogers, Ramsey, I-J, Buendia) and when you feel that a 'Dougie replacement' is also required?

The Grealish ship has sailed and we’ve moved on massively. We’d have to slip a long way to re-sign him when he’s 30 plus on big wages and a sizeable fee. Years ago, yes but not now.

... with Nedeljkovic coming in, too? Unless we're buying them to flip them in 2 years' time ...

19-year old Italian right wing-back who's transfermarkt have put a value of 25m Euro's onto. One Twitter link is still early days but sounds believable if he's already that good at that age.

The point Waddle was making was that he isn't a player the better sides would look at as a winger due to his relative lack of pace.  What was interesting, at least on a boring Monday morning in work, was the notion that he might work in our system centrally.  I don't know if it would work or be an expensive folly, but I suppose I was looking objectively at it for the first time since he pissed off up there - so, fro, a footballing persective, would Grealish improve our first team?  I think it's possible he would.  But would it be worth the 'other stuff', probably not.

This is the original source. https://www.alfredopedulla.com/esclusiva-kayode-prima-offerta-aston-villa-di-15-milioni/

It says we've made an offer of 15m plus add-ons, but that Fiorentina would consider selling for €20-22m plus add-ons.
