I think we’ll pluck the pluckers. Even if they have got Ross Barkley!

Love that Dave. I've heard pundits tipping Barkley for England!

He’s got more chance of playing for the England Women’s synchronised swimming team.

I can't imagine that the away end will applaud Barkley, whereas Marvelous would have been given a very good reception, had he been playing. After the first few games, e.g. Liverpool, Barkley was a huge disappointment for us, but I must say that he's playing really well at the moment.

In fairness to him, he picked up an injury and was never the same after that which is a pity because him and Joe looked like they were developing an understanding. Huge disappointment is a bit harsh, we've had a lot worse on loan here.

Good read Mr W.

There's not many good things to say about Luton. I've lived very happily in Bedfordshire for 25 years but have gone into Luton less than a dozen times. However I am a fan of Luton poet John Hegley who wrote the following:-

A Poem About The Town Of My Upbringing And The Conflict Between My Working Class Origins And The Middle Class Status Conferred Upon Me By A University Education.

“I remember Luton

As I’m swallowing my crouton.”

Thanks interesting reading on the football.
I'm not familiar with much of Luton but am aware it's featured prominently on 24 hours in police custody a channel 4 real life documentary series.
Bedfordshire Police force.
For a town it seems to have a inner city level issues.

Thanks, Dave; your article reminded me of a pre season match I attended, just after we’d bought Benteke. I remember Kenilworth Rd and the row of small seating caravans they used to have opposite their main stand before the PL money came in to finance a new stand, as well as the surreal entrance between the houses.

Like many of us, I hope they survive but would rather their fight back started after this fixture!
