Strange game where for 95% of it, we were so much better than them and then had a mini panic.

It seemed to take us 5-10 minutes to work out what to do second half as Forest put Gibbs White and Origi man-marking McGinn and Luiz and stopped our centre backs from playing their preferred first pass.  I think Emery managed to get Chambers and Lenglet over at a break in play and told them to carry the ball to commit them as we had no platform for that short time. Chambers had one moment where he just waltzed through them.

The panic didn't last long and glad Emery got the solution to them quickly. Other than that, it was dominant

we conceded that goal right on HT , without that i think we go on to win 5 or 6-0. I think Emery will be furious with the quality of defending for that goal

That goal gave them hope, which they didn't deserve at all.

I will never forget a bloke with a transistor radio who was stood behind me and my mate at Highbury in 1981.  For those that were there and can remember that little enclave that started jumping up and down and the whispers started that 'Boro had equalised.  We all turned to this bloke anxious for confirmation and all he could say was 'nothing on here about it' and then pandemonium as it was confirmed.  There were still anxious minutes to go though, unnecessary as it turned out thanks to Bosco RIP.

That's wonderful.

The WM LP of the championship system had Bryon Butler speaking (and in the background the noise from Highbury). "Let me be the first to congratulate Aston Villa" *Huge roar *

Good times!

Emery went absolutely bananas when they scored - I don't think I've ever seen him so pissed off.

To be fair he goes absolutely ballisitic if they concede a throw in through not doing what they're told.

Someone asked how I know that we’re the only ones that give don’t out our attendance. On MOTD, ours is usually the only match that no attendance figure is shown.

Because it was not

Etihad FC
Bingo's XI
Red filth
Spurzzzzzzzzzzzz
Arsenal

Thats why

When you have MOTD commentators saying (at 1-1) teams like Fulham would love to get a draw here...what chance does nay other decent team have

Exactly this. And I wasn't really asking why it hadn't been shown!!

Our goal against Arsenal is one of the goals of the season - like a sped-up, more skilful/technical version of Doug's second against Forest but against far superior opponents. But it never got a look-in for Goal of the Month.

As it stands I'd have those 2 and the watkins one against Sheff Utd (with the Dougie assist) as our 3 best this season.

Do goal kicks not have to clear the area anymore? Seems Lenglet (or Torres) took it to Martinez at the start of the build up.
