Torres and Buendia are two that shouldn't be back yet. They should be with their national squads. We're it not for injury I think both would have been.

Torres only really missed games in January and the start of Feb, and I don't think that's why he's not in. Spain have clearly got lots of very good players, and his form second half of the season wasn't that good.

Plus he's missing half a yard of pace which is why he plays for us and not a "giant".

I think he was carrying an injury to a degree in the back half of the season, and in response to eamonn wasn't he clocked as one of the fastest players in La Liga before he came or did I dream that?

Buendia has only ever been on the outskirts of the Argentinian set-up from what I've seen.

Although as his perfect position is currently taken by Messi.....

I have but I am very much not holding my breath.  Especially following my recent experience with the ST relocation window.

Still no Trnava tickets on sale :(  The match is in 8 days.
They’re selling tickets for home areas on Spartak’s website though not for what looks to be the visitors’ areas, but it says ‘Cash Desk’ next to those.
They’re  bigging our visit up quite a bit on there too with a few articles in recent weeks including a very thorough one about all our academy graduates going back to the likes to Ricardo Scimeca and Michael Oakes.
Today there is one about the day itself in which it says there isn’t a trip coming from Birmingham but they’ve reached out to Villa fan groups in Prague, Poland and Hungary.
It also goes on to say (quick online translation)…

So what will July 20th bring in Trnava? "Due to the great interest in special merch for this match, be it a commemorative match scarf with the logos of both teams, a T-shirt, a flag, a pillow, a lanyard, an original cap, or a beautiful mug, we are opening the fan shop at the stadium as early as 9:30 in the morning and our hostesses will sell merch around the stadium as well. At 11:00 a.m., the fan zone at the fanshop starts, around 1:00 p.m. the most loyal FC Spartak fans should meet the players and coaches of both teams, then the journalists will get to speak at the pre-match press conference. At 14:00 we open the gates of the stadium and already in the first minutes you can enjoy with us a video show of the greatest British hits, taste the traditional English specialty fish & chips, all our buffets will be open and there will also be a so-called "beer jet" in action, which taps a dozen beers at the same time. Oversized flags will premiere when the teams enter the field, we are looking forward to chants from the stands and we are also curious to see how successful the spectators will be in the half-time penalties against the goalkeepers of both teams. The match will be broadcast live by STVR on Dvojka and the signal is also sent to the British Isles. It will be an experience, we are very much looking forward to this day. Don't miss it and come experience it all with us," summed up the marketing department.

So, FC Tractor Factory in the back of beyond can pour lots of beer quickly, but Champions League Aston Villa make it as difficult as it possibly can be.

Who are the younger players in the training videos? There's a couple of blonde lads and then a darker haired guy.

Can you imagine those hapless servers trying to deal with a 12 pint pouring machine when they struggle to handle one bar tap.
I am no expert on bar taps but I think wondering around aimlessly, staring at your shoes is not in the customer service manual.
