Fantastic accomplishment from the manager his staff and the players, who cares what Brighton fans think they are the new Norwich, have a couple of good seasons and think they are Real Madrid.
In a few years they'll be back supporting the pricks from old trafford & anfield.

I’m more bothered by these upstarts, who TF do they think they are!

“Dreadful performance from the referee, clearly not up to it. Couldn’t handle all the fouling out there and his decisions were totally random at times. Not a good performance today, we looked sluggish at times, we really need to find a way to overcome these teams like Villa, Newcastle, Everton and Forest who play dirty, direct football roared on by a ferocious crowd, we seem to crumble in these type of games.”

😳

A club with ideas above their station, players surrounding the ref like they're Man United 1999.

I can’t wipe the smile off my face. So thankful to Emery and his staff, and what they’ve done for the club in such a short time. His tactics today were clearly thought out and executed properly by the squad. There were times when our entire midfield were so compact that it was near impossible to play a ball vertically through the middle. The high line can be a trigger for a heart attack, but when the midfield and defensive line are all on the same page it’s a thing of beautify.

Jacob Ramsey, what a player. He could’ve had 2 or 3 goals today and a handful of assists. His confidence going forward and carrying the ball is more pronounced than ever.

On the whole, I thought everyone was great today. The amount of smart and dedicated tackles, quick link up play and chances created with so much on the line, just goes to show we deserve to be where we are.

Pack your bags and get those passports ready, it’s a proud day. UTV

Have only just managed to see the abridged Sky highlights but it seems that Bailey played well?

I shed some tears. I know it's only the Europa Conference but I'm a soppy sod.

From relegation candidates under the useless Kopite Gobshite to a European place with a decent manager. All in the space of a few months. Lovely.

Bit of an understatement if ever I’ve seen one 😂

Let's offer them £5m for Kane.

He’d have scored 30+ this season with us, once he’d moved back to his favoured position after playing fullback under Gerrard

Doing the double over Brighton is excellent.

We could play Szczecin (we have a flat there) or Legia Warszawa ( Sister-in-law and niece live in a flat in the old town).

So if we draw them, whether I have a ticket or not, guided tours from me.

There might be a bit of saltiness from some Brighton fans, right enough.

But for us - as good as it is to be back in Europe - it's particularly impressive to finish one point off sixth and ten points off fourth despite taking a sabbatical for the first three months of the season.

Brighton have been on it all season. And needed to be, to finish above us.

  • I just love Aston Villa.
It's a very long time since I've experienced an atmosphere like that in B6... Absolutely sensational support this afternoon
