So he misses 3 home games Brighton , Leicester , West Ham . Watkins really should be filling his boots with goals or assists in these 3 games . Let's hope he doesn't get injured or it might be Louie Barry time .

I’d be surprised if Louie Barry kicked a ball for us this season.
So would I , just saying if Watkins gets injured we are stuffed for a few weeks for a Nr 9 .

Ah ok. I think you’d probably see Rogers up front in that scenario.

I think Duran is a phenomenal talent, but I think he is pretty immature (he's young, after all) and judging by his performance with West Ham over the summer, the first hint of someone like Man United being interested in him, he's going to start up with that bullshit again, but x 100.

I don't want to sell him, I want to keep him AND Watkins (or a better player should that be possible), but he doesn't strike me as the sort of player we could ever hope to build a team around, as he's so temperamental.

We'll end up selling him for £80m in the summer.

Yep, he gives off slight Mario Balotelli vibes.

Similar talent not similar madness. Duran isn’t close to the proper crazy Mario demonstrated.

Yep I’d be very surprised if he’s here for the long haul. Basically enjoy him for now, maximise the return, and ideally only sell him abroad.

Thanks. That's absolutely what I mean, only you've done it in less than 10 words. Precisely that.

It's interesting that his progression has coincided with our slight decline . I know the likes of McGinn and Emery allude to the issues of his temperament etc .
I'm torn on him , I expect him and his agent to play up every window like Benteke used to . Get the big money and cash in .

I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with how our fans are turning him into some kind of Balotelli-like figure. What exactly has he done to deserve this? From what I can see, the only thing he’s done is express a desire for a move during the summer, seeking more playing time.

It seems he was poorly advised, and perhaps his actions were influenced by some immaturity, but since then, reports indicate that he’s been performing well in training, had constructive discussions with Emery, and is genuinely happy with Duran.

I believe it's natural for players to be frustrated when substituted, and he certainly had every right to be upset about the red card. What will really irritate me is the commentary team will continue to focus on him during every match, seeking out incidents and potential flashpoints, in an attempt to create a narrative that he’s on the verge of a meltdown or a red card at any moment.

Booting subs benches and racks of water over won't help his identity . Cameras everywhere now . He's either very naive and immature or he's doing it for attention. Might be a bit of both . Either way not something I want down AVFC . Grow up or piss off . Emery don't Need it either , it's like a side circus .

Again there is nothing wrong with that, I'd be more worried if he didn't do that.

Grow up or piss off..... What sort of ridiculous comment is that for one of own players who has the potential to be one of the best?
There is no side Circus apart from the one you have created or starting to believe that the media will spin.

Duran is an absolute top young player that every team in all the top league's would be desperate to sign. He can kick as many subs benches and bottles of water as he likes if he keeps scoring the sort of wonder goals he has been doing.

I think we tried that and he struggled  badly there from memory. If barrys back i would rather give him a start as he is in red hot form and he took his chance when given in cup.would like to see how barry would do in a scenerio where ollie is injured

^^ I’d rather see Barry given a chance as well but can’t see UE doing it. I know we’d be in the hear and now in such an injury scenario but Barry might only need to cover for a few games but it’s a massive step up from the third tier. If he plays for us you’re also limiting him to just going back to Stockport on loan as he wouldn’t be getting a sniff ahead of a returning Watkins and Duran. I feel the whole point of him returning is to see if he can do it in the championship by being loaned out again.

Barry isn’t a centre forward, he’s definitely not a Premier League centre forward.
